- Hello everyone and welcome to today's video where we're going to be working on this Epson 2750 printer that I bought for just $50. If you're watching this video, chances are you're probably experiencing some issues with your printer too. Perhaps it's telling you that the waste tank needs to be serviced. Well, don't worry because I'm going to show you exactly how to fix that problem today.
We showed how to service an Epson EcoTank or Supertank's waste ink tank by yourself, and how to reset it. You will only need a screwdriver and a computer. You will never need to buy a new waste tank anymore.

I’m looking @ inkchip.net and they don’t have a software for et 2720. How did you find one?
How do you bring up the key at buying it
@@kirstenbrewer5468 Are the keys one time use or you can use that key over and over on the same printer?
@@Miagarin- 1 key is 1 use but if you by multiple then you get several ie: 5 keys gives you 5 different tries. I haven’t bought mine yet, hope it will work!
Once you buy the key is it placed in a folder on your computer or???
Thank you for putting this together. I can't believe that Epson states that there is no maintenance box for the ET2760 model. There certainly is. It's in the same place your video shows. It may not have the chip, but who cares. Your work around to reset the software resolves the no chip problem. Thanks again for sharing!

Kevin and Inkchip were right on the mark for clearing and resetting my Epson ET-2650. Took apart and cleaned the "sponges", dried them off (using hairdryer), put back in, downloaded and ran the Inkchip software, and I am ready for another 20,000 pages printed! Of note - I did also manually clean the heads a couple times over her life using ammonia and manually sliding the print head over the paper towel in the print tray. Couple videos out there on how to do that too - works great. But Thanks to Kevin for the Waste Ink clean and reset - your computer science degree is GOLD in my book!
Do you have a link to that video? I can't find it in my search and my power clean and 5+ nozzle cleanings are not doing the trick on my 3210. I can finally sorta read some words but when I try to print, it prints an outline of the black object I'm printing and the test page barely shows the black and no yellow at all.

This is my second Epson eco-tank the first one I just threw away after the tank got full but for this one I figured somebody’s had to come out with some thing and stumbled upon this and thank God I did because it just saved me $300 I have an Epson eco-tank 2760 I washed out the pads let them dry overnight put then i did the software and boom good as new printer you were truly a lifesaver it’s very easy to do once again thank you .

CZcams's removed the dislike counter but I can safely say this tutorial worked amazingly! I run a small sticker business and have this exact printer to keep making stickers and this absolutely saved us! Thank you so much Kevin! ♥♥♥
For those wondering, my printer was at a full 100% ink tank filled according to the WIC thing. Took me about an hour for the whole process with 45 mins of that being cleaning the ink pads. Everything else is quick and straightforward.
What paper type did you use for your stickers/labels?

@@BCHTechnologies maybe you can fix my other problem…any idea how to get the printer to stop printing “scanner status address”? It prints one like every 10 min and wastes paper. I have to turn the printer off when not in use

I won't lie, I was skeptical about this and buying the code from INKCHIP but it worked. I have an L3210 - cleaned out the waste tank as directed in your video and had to download the WIC file from a Windows computer (not for MAC). Also, make sure you enter the LONG code they send in the email. I was entering the order number because I didn't open the email fully and just saw that 6-digit number which gives you an error. If I'd watched the video Inkchip sent a link to, I'd have known better but I'm impulsive.

I bought Epson ET-2760 in September 2021 with 3 year warranty. Last month InkPad message came up. Then called Epson help line and wasted my time. I bought this code, replace InkPad and done. 👍

Hi thanks for all your work do you know if the waste ink collector reference C13T04D100 is the one used in this printer ? There are two models of this container and one of them seems to be this exact one. It can be purchased for pretty cheap and I’m asking myself if it is worth it as epson doesn’t list this printer as compatible because they want us to go to their repair shop. If not I will no doubt try your method thanks again !

Many ET-2750 have a software fault that prevent the power clean to operate. It is however also possible just to tilt the printer in all directions one after the other ( I dit it up to 60-70 degrees) and the printer is as god as new. It probably work because the obstruktion is often air bubles . Epson suggest to send the printerto a repear center to get the software fixed, but they suggest just to through the printer out.

Thanks Kevin. I would rather pay more for a printer that I could get spare parts for and replace by myself. These companies make so many disposable models it is maddening and should be a crime.
do you have to reset the chip after you clean the maintenance box? I have a Epson et 4750 that I have cleaned the print heads and unclogged, but all I get is blank pages. I wanted to do a power cleaning but it needs the maintenance box changed. Any help would be appreciated. I really enjoy your videos. 😁

is the key good only for a single reset? or multiple times for a single printer?
If we put the external waste tank in will epson still stop printing after awhile? I got the trial reset and it only lasted one day.
Is there a way to reconstitute the ink? There is a massive amount in the pads. Takes awhile to wash it out.

Hi Kevin, thanks for the great video! I did everything acc. to the instructions and resetted the counter, but now my printer says „waist inc pad counter was resetted by user, please contact epson support“. Also, it keeps saying I have a paper jam error all of a sudden (no paper in it and came directly after resetting the counter). Any idea how to fix this?? Thanks!

Yes. This is just a warranty breaking hack. You also have to be wary of software companies that sell this type of firmware hacking as it can also break your hardware forever, called bricking.

Kevin I loved this and will subscribed. Interesting I just took a Biomedical Engineering Certification class at your Alma Mater. I am also starting out in the book for Dummies the CCNA course; oh I am not a programmer, but a BIO major so this is out of my comfort zone. They didn't have a book for Idiots which would be my level.
May I ask you this question? In order not to have do a reset and stay ahead of this issue, could I clean before I get a message that shuts down my computer. I just did a booster clean as that was Epson video remedy and a wiser computer friend told me to keep doing a head cleaner as I thought my ink Cyan ink was clogged. Epson was no help by calling or any you tube, as the issue was the head cleaners. I did what he said. Keep doing it and check. I didn't have to do it 10 times only 5 + 1 times and that allowed me to get my Cyan ink working. My printer is the same model you have here 2750, so now I know to clean the waste pads that I just probably soaked. 2 + 4 mos. yr old printer
I was a Bio major too! My dad picked it for me. I finished it then switched to computer science.
It could be the printhead is fine, just the damper needs to be primed.
I have an Epson ET-2720 is there a download availible from any safe place? I guess INKCHiP does not have one.

I opened up the back of this one and there was a spring that fell out. I can’t figure out where it goes and it won’t recognize that it’s loaded with paper? Can you show what the back of that looks like open?

Kevin, I replaced the waste ink tank and downloaded InkChip, but the Microsoft Visual C++ program never popped up to install. The process of rebooting my printer stopped here for me.
