  • Easy to follow guide for replacing the waste ink pads in an Epson Ecotank ET-2750 (and similar builds - see below for full list).
    You can purchase our Printer Pad set (shown in this video) via:
    printerpotty.com/pads/et2750
    Same process also applies to the following models:
    ET2700, ET2756, ET2760
    L4150, L4151, L4153, L4156
    L4160, L4163, L4166, L4167, L4169
    L4170
    While this video deals with just replacing the waste pads we have also documented our Printer Potty external waste ink kit process for the same printer models, and that's detailed in this video:

    Excellent video, thank you very much. Made it all straightforward, using your kit to replace the pads. All great, thanks!

    To confirm. It it possible to use the T04D1 maintenance box as a replacement waste pad unit even though it has a chip. The chip itself is unused and won't do anything in the ET-2750 (or the other printers listed in the description) but the box and pads themselves are still physically compatible and will fit the printer.
    This is a useful option if your need is time critical and delivery timeframes would take weeks+ for our pad kit to arrive. You would still need to reset the waste ink counter and for that you can purchase the reset key via www.octoink.co.uk/keys
    Hope that's a useful bit of info in case you were struggling to find the part quickly enough.

    The waste ink counter (WIC) reset utility works great too. With the new pads and WIC reset the ET-2750 is just as good as new. The free utility requires a code from Octo Inkjet. The code works one time and cost me about $9.00, a new code and payment will be needed for the next reset (which I might need for my Photo R220 or Photo 1400).

    Will the same parts work with EPSON ET-2850?

    • @octoinkjet
      @octoinkjet  Před rokem +2

      Yes. It’s the same part for both

    I am just curious, you mention a key/reset. I assume this comes with the original Epson part you buy? Or is this something that shows up in settings once you place the part in?

      The reset process is needed to clear the waste counter but probably best way to get all the info’ is to watch this video:

    How can I remove that ink with the tank

    • @octoinkjet
      @octoinkjet  Před 2 lety +1

      Not sure exactly what you’re asking so I’ll cover a couple of possibilities:
      1. If you wanted the installation guide for fitting an external waste tank, there’s a separate video guide in this channel for that.
      2. If you were wanting to drain the waste ink, that’s just handled by removing the pads as per the guide we’re commenting on now.
      If it’s something else though, please comment below to clarify and we’ll go from there.

    Can anyone tell me how to remove the ink pads on my Epson SX515W. I can not find anywhere and underneath the printer no removable place to get to them. I want to order one of these ink collectors. Have reset the printer. Help!!

    • @octoinkjet
      @octoinkjet  Před rokem +1

      Hi Bill, The SX515W is covered by this (very old) guide:
      support.printerpotty.com/2022/installation-b40w-nx510-sx510w-and-similar-models
      That's for an Printer Potty (Duo) external waste ink kit rather than replacing the pads because the printers of that era weren't designed with an easily replaceable waste pad holder. Instead the pads are located deep in the printer and a whole lot harder to access, let alone replace. Hope that helps.

      Thank so much for helping me on this. I noticed that there are two tubes which I can see and would the kit cover this

    • @octoinkjet
      @octoinkjet  Před rokem +1

      The Duo Printer Potty external waste ink kit would, yes. The Duo stands for two.. as in two waste tubes.

    What about the pads under the print
    head?

    • @octoinkjet
      @octoinkjet  Před 8 měsíci

      Do you mean the platen pad that runs the width of the printer? If so it’s actually simpler to periodically mop up any excess with kitchen towel.. or avoid using the borderless printing function as much as possible.

    Do you ship to Canada?

    • @octoinkjet
      @octoinkjet  Před 4 měsíci

      We do. We also now offer a DDP shipping service which means we can pre-charge all import/PST/GST taxes, etc.. and that speeds up delivery speed.
