Amazing performance, as always, but I was counting on the Academy to give the Oscar to Viola Davis. She was just as amazing, without all the prosthetic makeup. I still love Meryl though. She's legendary.

She was a right wing politician who made many decisions that were un-popular then and now. She created large amounts of un-employment by taking away much of the UK's manufacturing work, raised taxes, went into an (arguably) pointless war and privatised many public services. Some people believe that breaking apart the unions was a good thing as they were getting too strong, some say privatisation is good, foresight is a wonderful thing! I disagree with her policies, but many agreed with them.
