    In Arizona' SOP we do not operate any equipment such as dishwasher, dryers, dish-washing machines, if the home gets flooded or the machine doesn't operate the next day the owner uses it (You were the last to touch it) the SOP protects you at many times from legal issues.

      Good call, Manuel. InterNACHI School is in AZ at www.nachi.org/licensing-and-certification/us/arizona

      I agree Manuel. I do not consider appliances a permanent installed system in the home.

    Do you also check for mold?

    • @internachi
      @internachi  Před 4 lety +2

      Yes. Home inspectors can look for indications of moisture intrusion and house conditions that are conducive to mold growth.

    Well, thanks for sharing but that was pretty much useless... A foundation inspection training video in a home with no visible foundation? What a waste.

    How to perform a foundation inspection:
    You can't it's a finished basement go to next video

    • @internachi
      @internachi  Před 3 lety +7

      There's so much to inspect in a "finished" basement, especially water intrusion. And many finished basements are done without permits, so the workmanship is poor, including electrical. Every basement "unfinished" or "finished" should be inspected.

      It's a limited visual inspection... you could always hire a structural engineer for around 15,000

      Yah, good point...no sense in just looking around to see if there any water stains, caused by...A CRACKED FOUNDATION!!

      Inspections. Inspections. Inspections.

  • @redcanary7

    why even post this video? I'm never buying a home inspection. The report should look different than that of if Ray Charles performed the inspection. "Couldn't see anything". Waste of money.

    • @internachi
      @internachi  Před 3 lety +1

      We disagree. It's critical to understand the condition of the home. Every home should be inspected every year as part of a homeowner's routine maintenance plan.

    • @redcanary7
      @redcanary7 Před 3 lety +1

      @@internachi looks like they don't actually inspect anything. don't move a tile? get real. i would be paying for you to get in there and figure it out. I understand your liability issues, but as it stands, waste of money if you have a finished basement

    • @johnwok15

      @@redcanary7 For this particular home, your inspection in the basement is useless.

    Can’t believe you’re not required to look in the ceiling tiles. What a waste of money...

    • @internachi
      @internachi  Před 3 lety +1

      Not really. I recommend not purchasing a house or owning a house without a home inspection. It's really important. And if you want your home inspector to look above every ceiling tile, just as her.

    This guy is not responsible for anything

    • @internachi
      @internachi  Před 3 lety +1

      Incorrect. There's a Home Inspection Standards of Practice that describes what a home inspector is responsible for. Check it out at www.nachi.org/sop.htm
