Watch the entire video as David explains in detail how the 2024 Tacoma hybrid drive and feel on highways and twisty roads.

Over $65,000 for the TRD Pro is insane
It’s pretty disgusting, I agree. The world’s gone mad.
Trd pro tundra is 80k. Pricing is fine. Normal people dont buy trd pros to mall crawl do they? 😂 stick to sr5
@@beexiong2995 which is the price of what the TRD Pro used to be. No excuse. Also the SR5 is wayyyy to expensive. As soon as you add a moon roof, you lost your last leg!
Well and Jeep has Crazy prices on their Rubicon models though too.
@@beexiong2995yeah if you're in a Toyota bubble. With this kind of pricing Toyota is taking the risk of their customers looking elsewhere. It's like southwest their customers assume it's the best deal when it is most often not. There are alternatives where the buyer gets more for their money.
“ONE REASON WHY THE 2024 🌮 IS NOT BETTER THAN THE 2023”
PRICE!!! They’re nuts with the pricing on the TRD PRO/TRAILHUNTER
Wayyyyyy overpriced; Toyota managed to price the middle class out!
With the outrageous price Toyota is getting really proud of that Mexican craftsmanship
🤣🤣🤣
The new 2024 Tacoma is crazy over priced! Lets see how all of these new changes are doing a year from now.
Would be doing just fine. It’s a Toyota. 👍🏼
Awesome Video 👍👍
I am glad I found you
Wow beautiful Truck
Thank You David ... I'm still curious to see the lower end trims as in the SR or SR5. Personally I don't need all the bells and whistles. Another thing is I wish that the manual transmission was available in all trim levels.
I’m not sure how many vids he has done on them, but the lower trims are already out and about and all their specs/pricing are easily found online right now! (The hybrid is only in the trd and halo trims anyway)
David I am undecided between the Tacoma IForce Max off road vs the 4Runner IForce Max off road, which one would you pick and why?
I like the Limited with the fulltime 4wd. I might get that one next year. I’d remove the front air dam, add a couple skid plates & AT tires. I do wish Toyota would offer a 1794 Edition, like the Limited, but black instead of chrome & saddle brown leather seats! It’d be fire 🔥
Sorry made in Mexico does not sell in Nevada!
I don’t think it’s $5-$8k better. Will be interesting to see how it sells vs lower priced competition.
What is your opinion of the iForce Max Limited compared to the Canyon Denali? Thanks
I'm willing to accept engine, driving dynamics, etc are improved. Cosmetic fit and finish on a pre-production Linited press-car, I'd guess they took a little more time assembling it.
Where did you find that panel gap ruler?
Hi David, one of you almost retired Blackbelts here. I have had 7 Tacomas. Think I should trade my 2023 Pro manual shift to a 4x4 Double Cab 6M - TRD Sport + (6M)? Which I could find a clear Specifications comparison between the 24 and 23- Randy
David, thanks for review. Because Toyota has a big market and sales for the Tacoma...they had to get it right. This drivetrain will be improved in the future as the iForceMax is on the Land Cruiser 250, 4Runner and the Tacoma. I do think the TRD Off-Road with hybrid will be a very popular model.
don't forget the lexus GX as well will eventually have this hybrid system and not the sequoia hybrid system
The engine is much better. The low end torque profile is a huge difference over the weaker v6
Everyone likes more power. But long term reliability is a huge question mark, especially at their unbelievably high pricing.
@@4rr44E well, it is the same for every redesign. You should wait 3 years so they can work the bugs out. My dad's 79 fj is still running and beats every car made in the past 20 years. But practically speaking, even the past generation is not long term reliable to the tune of half a century 🤣 at some point you need to buy or buy used and hope for the best
Holy moly - cant decide between trailboss/z71 colorado vs tacoma trd premium non hybrid (canadian spec)
$65,000 for a trd pro. Are you shitting me”!
Truck looks good, is pricing that looks insane.
Dave at 56k it had better be!!!
Wanted to hear about the mileage
Pickup Trucks Plus has a video that covers it. The hybrid gets 1-2mpg better. But the hybrid setup costs $3k and you loose the backseat underneath storage for the battery
Limited hybrid is 23/24/24
@@erickisel8668so F150 numbers 🤡
This dude more worried about the panel gaps than the engine blowing a turbo
Hey, we all love the 38% price increase.
Stick with my 21 TRD off road Tacoma
How about the power train???
David, As impressive as the 'IForce Max' engine is in the new Tacoma, just imagine how great it would be in a new T100. 😁 For the record, the Tacoma was built in Fremont, California from
1995 - 2010.
the iforcemax is not $7k more impressive than a 3.0tt V6 raptor.
What about why its worse? The engines wont make over 200k and they're wider without longer suspension and are still called "mid-size."
@AutomotivePress: Trail Hunter and TRD are overpriced when compared to ZR2, AT4X, and Ranger Raptor.
And a better vehicle, definitely long term
Over priced
Between prohibitive pricing and planned obsolescence (hybrid only models) I don’t believe I can support Toyota for much longer.
Well. It may be slightly better. Unfortunately... These does not justify the big increase in pricing. Yet none of the so-called car journalists don't call out Toyota for such insane practice/greed. You guy just give them a pass to keep increasing the price tag. Probably thanks to the luxury invite to their launch event.
Thanks for giving excellent reviews on toyotas. I stopped watching trd jon when he started trashing his viewers. Keep up the good work.
How did he trash his viewers?
@@garybeaty4032TRD Jon is not open to learning from viewers, he has an attitude in that regard
Man, some of you people are hilarious. The fact that some of you don’t know what inflation can do is really sad. Hey! Every new truck is expensive! Mind-blowing, right? Toyota brings out a brand new platform that’s better in every way than the old & people still complain. Ok? Well go buy you a crappy Ford or Chevy, that also has a turbo engine. I'll pay premium for a Toyota.
Price is the number 1 reason I am not buying one.
The V6 sucks, slow and sluggish terrible gas mileage also
TFL Truck had a disastrous mild snow off-road outing with a 24 Taco. I'm Not buying one until 2028
Nah. By 2025 it’ll be sorted out by changing suppliers for that ONE PART that failed.
@@sammyjammy6647 go ahead. I'm still waiting for long term reliability results.
@@lamesamelame yup. Life is short my friend. lol
Here is 1 reason it sucks- 4 cylinder
Junk.
