Citybus recognizes the need for modal shift from cars to public transport against a backdrop of urbanization, technological advancement, and increasing pressure to tackle road congestion and improve air quality and has set aside a significant investment in its fleet and digital offerings to customers, making it easier to choose greener and smarter public transport.
The Airport Express operations were launched in 2016 and caters to passengers who are travelling to and from the airport with luggage. These buses come with purpose build racks to store luggage inside the bus, a clear preference that Citybus came across while conducting pre-launch surveys among a cross section of its passengers. It operates 24 X 7 and covers the principal areas where there is a distinct lack of viable alternative transport services to and from the airport.( Temporally Stopped Causes of Corona Issue)
Express Service operations were launched in 2017 diversifying into the express transport segment combining choice and convenience for customers targeted at the home to work transport space. This service has been well received by our passengers and Citybus engages with them on a continuous basis to enhance its service standards.
The market research team of Citybus, in the course of conducting its regular customer outreach activities, identified the demand for services that offer passengers increased comfort, more privacy and personal space on the public transport network. It has therefore reconfigured the seating arrangement in some of its new double decker fleet and is in the process of introducing the Platinum Service for those discerning passengers. High back reclining seats with better inside trimmings and faster Wi-Fi and quick charging stations in double decker buses along select routes will provide the premier class experience in public transport.
