- I’m alive, been a while since I did this kinda video. With the new Fire Emblem game out, I wanted to do so once more, since these are the main videos people know me for nowadays.
For this series I skipped one of the Shez forms to avoid showing the same, or similar convo twice. But worry not I will do a full male Shez video later to make up for it.
It’s worth noting that few characters have 3 supports together. And that some of them only show on certain routes. Quantity over quality, I guess? Warriors Three Hopes definitely had long supports for the smaller number, so I leave that up to you to interpret.

What really stings about her support with Ferdinand is that as he was recording his lines for this game, Billy Kametz, Ferdinand's VA, was fighting cancer. Hearing Ferdinand thus begging Lysithea not to give up and to keep fighting for her life feels really raw. It was also really nice to see them finally have some interaction besides their shared paralogue in the base game.
It makes me think Bill was also telling that to Janice.
Lysithea's supports with Hubert and Ferdinand are great for her integration into Edelgard's group. And confirmation that all the top minds in the Empire are working together on extending her life!
Logically they can also examine what works for Lysithea so that Edelgard may also have the same method of life extension treatment .
@@serronserron1320 well edelgard’s shortened life-expectancy isn’t confirmed. For one they used more refined techniques on her and she has the crest of flames, which boasts regeneration.
But both want their second crests to be removed anyway so she is still useful for research
@@sohn7767 But they are uncertain. One of the reasons why Edelgard was insistent on starting the conquest against the church even before full adulthood. Perhaps it would have been smarter for her to wait for years to strengthen her army and gather more resources. Giving more time for Hubert and her spies to subdue the opposition in the Empire, and covertly coerce the nobles in the other kingdoms to support her.
@@serronserron1320 yeah it’s somewhat implied, but in her three houses endings she still grows old. It’s probably reduced but not that much
The A support with Ferdinand made me drop in so many tears. His words are so deep that it’s even more sad since the voice actor passed away recently
Lysithea's VA really outdoes herself in Three Hopes. The emotions are more vivid here.
Mercedes and Lysithea support is something I never thought about back in Three Houses, but never knew I needed to see one. This support between them is great
It's sort of weird that you can only get that support with the Black Eagles, tho. The Deer can't get Mercedes and the Lions can't get Lysithea.
Lysithea and Shez are so cute together, that A support was down right romantic.

Lysithea needs more Supports. Where are Supports for her with Bernadetta or Jeritza? That would have worked out well for her character.

They don't, but they (and Hapi) do have a paralogue together if that's consolation.
@@730Flare Yeah and she shares supports with two other Black Eagle exclusives to be fair (Hubert and Ferdinand) and gets pretty involved in the story for an outside recruit when the missions pertain to the Agarthans.
Man, Lysithea is waaaay more chill in Three Hopes than Three Houses. She was downright mean in that game. She was uncooperative, looked for criticism in every comment, and took any opportunity to sling a barrage of insults at anyone that irritated her (which was everyone).
Three Hopes Lysithea seems so much easier to get along with. Maybe it's because she's a few years older here; the difference between 15 and 18 pretty significant.
True, she can still act immature at times (Shez supports being a prime example) but she’s definitely more levelheaded than her pre-timeskip self in 3Houses. And by the time we come to 3Houses’s timeskip she’s definitely the most mature.
If only "THE PROFFESOR" was there then lysithea would have been more lectured and mature just like in her 3 houses version
3H Lysithea always felt like she had something to prove thanks to the Academy phase. She didn’t want people to look down on her for numerous reasons: her natural talent (due to her two crests. She especially hates this due to the traumatic procedure she went through as well as how it stunts her lifespan which is also why she’s so sore about being treated like a kid and insists on being seen as mature), her stature, her fears, her vices. Her supports with Annette in 3H really show that off since she also sees Annette as the hard worker she is while not wanting to let on that part of her own accomplishments she gets praised for is due to her two crests.
With W3H, the Academy phase ended prematurely, so people were able to sooner recognize Lysithea for her practical talents rather than her studies or work ethic. She’s on the front lines fighting like everyone else and is able to pull her weight, and all of her peers respect her for that (even if they come off as patronizing the way Shez did) so she doesn’t feel like she has to prove herself, at least not as much.
That said, she’s still not as mature as she was in the 5 year time skip in terms of her attitude. She does still tend to get rather hotblooded even outside of her conversations with Shez if she feels like someone is looking down on her.
@@Rexaura888 The core problems are still there, just not as apparent, and with less resolution to them as well. Shez simply isn't ton Byleth's level whether in combat or in supports, rather symbolic for one who was made to be the enemy of the goddess and thus all life in Fodlan. Hell, things can even get worse for the main cast before the war even ends.
Too bad she doesn’t have a support with Linhardt this time, they were sweet in my opinion

They cannot be recruited together. Annette will never leave the Blue Lions in this and Lysithea only goes with the Deer or Eagles.

Where's the MShez support?
I really don't like what they did with Lysithea in this game. For whatever reason they felt the need to make her much more of a brat in this game than she was in Three Houses. She was one of my favorite Golden Deer characters because of how sweet she was, and because of how easy it is to feel sympathy for her. But for whatever reason they made her more unlikeable in this game!
Idk, if you look at some of her pre-timeskip in 3Houses then she’s more or less the same, especially in her supports with Ignatz and Marianne where she straight-up insults them and hurts their feelings in the process. The Lysithea in this game is meant to be an awkward middle period between her pre-timeskip and post-timeskip self where she’s not fully mature yet due to it only being two years since she left the academy, but is at least a bit more levelheaded and less prone to snapping at others. She gets the most snappy in her Shez supports since Shez (even acknowledgingly) is pretty terrible when it comes to words and usually just says the first thing that pops into their head.
@@amirgarcia547 I never saw her supports with Ignatz and Marianne, so I wouldn't know. And I think the reason I remember Lysithea not being a brat was because I remembered her being very sympathetic in her A support with Byleth (at least I'm pretty sure it was the A support)

@@meta527II I am the biggest Lysithea fan ever but even I didn't like her Marianne or Ignatz supports and how they handled her behavior, at least by the end of both chains she redeemed herself.

I really don't like her supports with the player character, because it keeps having the player character call her a child. I never said anything like that! Why would the game be THIS STUPID in these supports?
Her support with Hubert is my favorite out of these. It's nice seeing how both Edelgard and Hubert dote on her like a little sister for different reasons. She fits right in ^^
