    Thanks for clearing that up. A while back when Zack did a video about rotation he mentioned how the internal rotation isn't necessarily the goal but rather it was a result of the chest coming forward. I now clearly understand why.

    Thank you for the explanation. I hear so much about this but this is the only demonstration I can understand. I am just learning Olympic lifting for CrossFit and have watched a ton of your subtitled videos - somehow reading the translation while watching helps me learn better! But I like the English videos along with the demonstration.

      It's clear that the chest is the driving factor. Crossfit should teach that. Whilst chest is forward, naturally some people internally rotate, whilst others externally rotate. It matters not, as long as your elbows are locked because your chest is pushed forwards.

    You also have stronger internal rotating muscles than external rotating muscles. A lot of people have believed Kelly Starret’s teaching of external rotation overhead which is incorrect.

    • @bastiaanbogers4114
      @bastiaanbogers4114 Před 4 lety

      Well, they don’t really have to be stronger, they perhaps should work harder when the bar is overhead.
      Don’t forget to do external rotation drills. Your external rotators are often weak by nature (mine were super weak) and that can result in injuries.
