Rigid metal duct is better than vinyl or flexible foil duct.

I have a front venting dryer which has the ability to be rear vented as well, and the micro lint that gets through the lint trap gets stuck all along the inside vent chambers, so I clean this out about once a month. It's a no-brainer to me.

  • @airductspecialistsinc7870

The video shows a preventative cleaning on a regular basis. If your dryer's exhaust line hasn't been cleaned for a long time, do not use this method, you won't be able to push the lint all the way through, it will get stuck in the middle of the pipe making things much more complicated.

Sad Lowe’s endorsement on improper dryer installation. Refer to owners installation manual not videos like this. I have to repair too many dryers hooked up wrong like this. Lowe’s please read up on proper downstream venting connections

I'll get right on that....but I know it probably won't get done for months.

Why not just buy a new flexible vent?

You aren’t supposed to use flexible vent like they show, voids warranty. Use rigid or flexible rigid only. I have had to fix too many dryers because of foil venting and wrong hook ups

@Josh B It's a good thing I bought a few extras before the embargo started.
