You play fundamentally, and you play a fundamental character. There's nothing wrong with that, and I guess people just don't understand what truly good gameplay looks like. You don't have to play balls to the wall to have a nice Marth. Haven't even watched through yet, but boy, those comments were something else. Too many 12 year olds on YT.

Your Marth makes me proud, especially when you kicked that Sonic mains a**. I came to the conclusion that Marth is still my fav character since Melee because he is so simple but difficult at the same time. I just have about 200h on him according by battle data but it feels like the more i play him the more i get in touch with the fundamentals. I clap for you Sir.

Marth is what you play after Mastering Lucina, not the other way around.

I would feel inclined to believe you, but my Lucina is evidently worse than my Marth lol. Some top players who mastered Lucina (or are getting close), such as Mr. E, noticeably perform worse as Marth. Marth may seem similar to Lucina, but he has to be played differently and he has different win conditions than Lucina. In other words, what works for Lucina may not work for Marth and vice versa.

See Lucina can't do that, hence why I don't main her over Marth.
There are many times where I get a shield break as Lucina, but get little reward because my opponent was at 25%.
@@Spyder-Marth i started using Marth a time ago as my third main, but it's kinda hard for me to get tipper😅 but when i get it it's very satisfying not gonna lie, and i started using Marth because i played the FE games where he appeared and i liked the character so much😅

Pretty difficult to get those when every opponent you face is low high level and above 💀
Extremely easy on scrubs, though. Either way, that's not how I play Marth... and when I did land a fancy string, some nuggets said "hE drOpPeD hIs cOntRolLer sO iT dOn'T cOunT!"
@@Spyder-Marth And that is perfectly fair! Not every Marth should play a certain way. I'm not a Marth main (not since Ultimate came out), but I personally like going for setups or combos with Marth and then capitalizing off of having the positional advantage. Your Marth seems a lot more tech-chase heavy and gets early kills with confirms tipper smash attacks. I'd say if there's one thing I rely on with Marth, it's probably falling uairs and neutral B to cover ledge/platforms. I'm not amazing at landing tipper confirms with him, but I do get a lot of tippers in neutral!
I’ve always preferred playing Marth over Lucina if I felt like playing one of them. Despite not being able to land half my tippers, I feel like he’s the more interesting character. Also comment sections can be full of stupidity sometimes. You’ll see comments calling them 12 year olds, but I’ve seen 12 year olds with more rational thoughts. People need to actually think for one second before posting stupid stuff
Very nice Marth play. I noticed you didn't hit any weak up tilt into f-smash in free video. Is that not a combo you look for or is it not very reliable?
I used to use it but now I don't go for it unless I'm near ledge. Doing it mid stage is not as useful as juggling opponents outright. You can get more damage that way. Up tilt -> Forward Smash is extremely good on characters with poor recoveries, though. I use it on Aegis a lot lol.
Not super relevant but I got banana up tilt f smash on a Duffy king at like 12, yes it did kill

Most the time Dair spike into smash doesnt connect for me or is sour, i try and delay it sometimes but then they can dodge. Are these opponents just using bad DI ?
No. There's a specific timing for it at a different percents depending on your rage and your opponent's percent.
It took a LOT of practice to get this confirm down. I will make a guide on it if that helps.
