Clive pours himself into his playing like few others. His technical mastery is incredible. This song is superb.

Fortunate enough to see Clive perform with Tommy Emmanuel last night. Awesome musicianship from both of them.

Beautiful. That dropped B is such an essential part of the sound. This is an unusual piece and Clive puts his whole being into the performance.

Sounds like Senoritalover is looking for George Clooney plays Chet Atkins! There's a real backlash against modern fingerstyle at the moment which seems to be indiscriminate. I agree there's generally too much tapping and harmonics but this tune is not overbalanced with modern style techniques. This is a great and unusual composition played with feeling and a supreme touch. Keep pushing the envelope Clive.

So much expression ! Overwelming ! Love this guy !
What's actually happening when the sound becomes different ? I guess it's because he"s playing closer to the neck but the difference is quite drastic :O

Yeah, I think the tone changes when he moves his hand up closer tot eh neck, and I think he's also using more flesh from thumbs than thumbnail at those times. There's a wide range of dynamic and tonal changes achievable on a great guitar.

Yes, also by the angle you pick at. He's really going for a range of tone in this one. Julian Bream used to make it sound like 2 different guitars were having a "conversation" sometimes, which I hugely admire.
