Hahahaha very nice! Opera is actually very fairr: the tenor and the soprano have the most starry roles, but deep down they know that the mezzo and the baritone get the best, most interesting roles. ;-)
When?! When does the mezzo have to settle for the baritone? In all the operas I've seen, the baritone either doesn't get the girl, gets the soprano, or is already married to the mezzo at the begining!!

I dunno - gotta love baritones (seeing as I am one, and a bass-baritone at that). Besides, we at least get the lovely opportunity to blast the tenors away through sheer power. They can have their high Cs - we have low Fs and Don Giovanni!

today it is harder to find the fachs of voices.. The pitch for A4 is too high. And the high pitch for A4 is not doing any favours to slightly aging voices..

i was kind of hoping to hear examples??? this seems like a total waste unless we get actual examples of what these words mean ....
