    This was the first opera I ever saw and it made me cry at the overture. I so loved it, it will always have a special place in my heart.

    You guys don't get nearly enough love, these are all so great.

    Makes you realise how Adele was in no way involved in the plot...
    If i might make a suggestion for the next one, Tchaikovsky's Queen of Spades would have a lot of fun potential and complete the globalness of your repertoire :). (Haven't seen any russian opera, or is there?)

      You are quite right! We have yet to do a Russian opera! We will definitely bump that up to the top of our list!

      She was though. Confusing Eisenstein with what he thinks is a lady looking remarkably like Adele is the first part of the prank.
      Also operattas often had more light-hearted characters to break up some tension.
