It looks like it already got Doug sort of cancelled, except for that Danny forcibly took the fall for him.
If Doug really was canceled, Deacon and Danny would have dumped him, and Carrie would have divorced him for that tasteless photo that almost ruined Jake and Samantha's marriage. But they didn't. They forgave him for his stupidity and went on with their lives. Then again, it's only a sitcom.

One of my favorite TV shows of all time EVER.
Y'know, it was a little weird of the woman to invite her ex-boyfriend in the first place, and even weirder that Danny chose to go too. If my ex invited me to her wedding, I'd tell her I'd rather snort a tarantula hawk.
Many moons ago, a woman who was engaged to another guy went away with me when I was bowling a tournament near Boston. On the drive up, she asked me if I was coming to her wedding (at that time, I'd wished I had ejection seats in my car to toss her into Long Island Sound😡). In his defense, Doug did not know that the couple would share the photos with everyone when he took the photo, and Doug did try to intercept the photos and resisted the idea of them being viewed, and to be fair, his mother asked to see the photo when she knew what it was.

The whole disposable camera at weddings and at parties was a big thing in the 90s, so just imagine how many times this happened in real life. I wonder how many friendships and marriages were ruined because of it. It's fun to think about. They've since made a comeback. People are buying these cameras again. Especially for their weddings.
