Really appreciate your insight and podcast...wondering if you've considered upgrading your technology, i.e., webcam resolution or mbps upload speeds. Check out the difference in quality of video between you and your guests, e.g., Steele Venters and others. This podcast also a good example.

    What about Braden Huff

Dan talks about a roster of backcourt players including Nembhart, Hickman, Venters, Smith - but Few doesn't seem to like to go deeper than 7-8 players. Will he and can he distribute minutes to get legitimate playing time for 4 guards? (never mind Dusty Stromer...)

Can someone please explain to me the following :
1.) How many scouts are needed to evaluate the basketball teams Gonzaga will play against during the preseason and league play and during the NCAA tournament.
2.) How many scouts are needed to evaluate high school and Junior college talent. I will also include "overseas" talent.
3.) How many scouts are needed to evaluate players entering the transfer portal
From my perspective in order to keep re-loading with quality basketball players, a program would need an "army" of talent scouts to keep a basketball program like Gonzaga's competitive year after year. Is it possible that a basketball program could have more "scouts" than full time coaches?
With the advent of the transfer portal is the recruiting of high school basketball players not as crucial as in years past?
Without revealing my age there was a time when it was frowned upon building an athletic program mostly recruiting JUCO transfers because their graduation at a 4 year college or university was poor, and they picked up bad habits in their previous program that wasn't compatible with their new team. For example the late Dean Smith of North Carolina had a policy of never recruiting JUCO transfers. The only exception was the great Bob MacAdoo. The great UCLA coach John Wooden had a similar policy.
The point I am trying to make, is the Transfer portal a newer version along similar lines of recruiting Junior college transfers in years past? Will this lower the graduation rates of the student athletes along with the diminishing of team cohesion, something like what happened at Oregon State University a year or so ago.
