As a VERY fair-skinned person, this is pretty much the summation of all the reasons why I can never find a foundation that matches me. I was laughing out loud at some of these "porcelain" and "ivory" shades.
Right? 😂. That Peach BB cream in the lightest shade would make me look like an Oompa Loompa!

This might sound silly-- but, if I had to keep track of what I thought of every makeup item I've ever tried for my job, I'd create a spreadsheet! With the date, how long Ive tried it for, did I like it, what were the problems, why it worked, etc. but then again, I'm a spreadsheet nerd so ignore me

This is going to sound like a backhanded comment, but I SWEAR it isn't! I love your declutter videos! They are so relaxing to me that they literally put me to sleep! My boyfriend is a traveling industrial mechanic so we're always in different hotels and sometimes it can be hard to get comfortable enough to settle in at bedtime. Your declutter videos are so relaxing and therapeutic! I find myself frequenting your playlist when I'm feeling particularly homesick and nocturnal. Lol. Also, it makes me feel better about only being able to have a travel friendly makeup collection at all times. ♡ Thank you Jessica!
That's actually a really nice compliment! I've had many subscribers tell me they listen to my voice to go to sleep because it is soothing to them. I have a southern accent, though, so some of my fellow southerners may be homesick and want to hear that type of voice. Maybe Jessica's voice reminds you of someone.😊

GymnasticsQueen I have some redness on my cheeks, so I do one coat, then add some more to my cheeks. It is buildable. What I love the most is that it isn’t cakey around my nose. It’s like a second skin
I have really dry skin and I’ve been struggling with how to take off my makeup as well. I thought I found the perfect solution ( Clinique take off the day balm) it was soooo quick and easy but I’m severely allergic to it 😡 I’d give it a try though, my mom and sister love it!
Melissa Rose I have EXTREMELY dry and sensitive skin, and get weird red hives/inflammation from all sorts of products. I finally found a makeup wipe that doesn't cause a reaction, and it is the Pond's Evening Soothe in the purple pack (it has calming chamomile and white tea). The smell is very light (I'm sensitive to smells), and the wipes even remove my waterproof mascara. They are my go to for travel, when I don't want to bring a lot of extra products. I also am able to use the CeraVe hydrating facial cleanser without any issues, but I don't feel like it tackles my eye makeup as well as the wipes. Good luck on your search!😉

I want to try the Hourglass vanishing stick foundation SOOOO badly but I just can’t bring myself to pay THAT MUCH for such a small amount in a stick ☹️
If you have a Sephora near you, they’ll give you a sample! I got a pretty generous chunk when I went! I try to be really nice to the Sephora girls/guys and they’ll help you out 😊

It lasts quite a long time though. It has to be applied pretty sparingly to avoid cake face.
You don’t need much I love mine! I was skeptical at first but now it’s the only foundation I use!
Honestly, it may seem small but it is a lot of product! I have 2 colors in the vanish stick; one color I purchased in July 2016 and the other color I got in May 2017. I still have and use both of them! I am trying to use them both up this year and they are taking forever to use. I only own a total of 5 foundations that I rotate through (well primarily 4). As someone else mentioned, you only need a small amount! It is definitely worth the price imo:)!
Ulta sells a pump that fits the Estee Lauder foundation. Ask the sales rep and they will point you in the right direction. I think it was $10.

Get travel pots and pour the Estée Lauder foundations in them. That's what I use for my watery ones with no pumps or wands and it works wonders
Unfortunately they did discontinue the red cap Rimmel Foundation. I love it and a friend of mine loves it as well and she contacted Rimmel and they said they reformulated it and the Gray/Silver lid one is the replacement and it’s not good, it doesn’t even compare. 😩 I don’t know why they even messed with it, I’ve heard soooo many people say they love it and now it’s gone.
Which reminds me. 15 days of foundation is going on right now. 👍🏾

Girl you should try the new Makeup Forever ultra HD skin tint. I think you’d love it! It’s like a tinted moisturizer but with a good amount of coverage and a blurring quality.

I think keeping notes on how you feel about a product would cut down on not knowing/not remembering. You have so many products, you're not going to remember them all but i want to know your opinion on them. Imagine how cute your makeup notebook could be! Please! xoxoxo Love the video!
jessica, if you go to any Macy's or department store where they sell Estee Lauder, the employees there can digitally check with the help of a little device that scans your face 3x, helping you find an exact foundation match. They will also provide a free makeover with that makeup. This way you will never need to use your cover FX drops any more :)

Your "declutter" series is a great help, especially the foundation one. I got rid of about a dozen that are either too old or just don't work for me. I also did a recent declutter on lip sticks.
Mac has a pump that fits the Double Wear bottles. It is a GOD SEND and makes it so much easier to get it out.
I'm with you on being nervous about getting to my foundation declutter! I enjoyed watching this so much even though we have completely different skin types!
I wore the missha BBcream all summer and didn’t for a few months. Thanks for reminding me how good it is! I can’t stop using it now and had to order another tube! For anyone who doesn’t know, you can order it from eBay for under $15, I highly recommend it.
We're around the same shade, I'm just a little more yellow/olive and I wear 1W1 Bone in the Estée Lauder Double Wear.
Out of all your foundation options the givenchy is my only favorite. So good for dry mature skin.

That’s so true when you buy an expensive foundation and it sucks “well I’ll keep it just Incase, but no.. there is no just Incase” lol ME! Btw do the cover fx drops change consistency of the foundation you mix them into?

Glossier skin tint is amazing for a no makeup day! On an everyday basis I literally will throw it on after moisturizing, use a cream highlight (my favs right now are hourglass champaigne flash and kkw medium II), set the areas I need to with my charlotte tilbury airbrush pressed powder, add brow gel, curl my lashes and maybe apply mascara 🙂 It sounds like a long process but it's super easy and ACTUALLY looks like I'm not wearing makeup (but my skin still looks great). Just don't expect much coverage from the glossier, so many people try it while applying a full face of makeup when that's not what it's meant for.

Jessica, I too have dry skin and have a bit of issue with redness. The Milani 2-in-1 is awesome! It doesn’t feel super heavy, but it covers! It lasts a really long time, too. Sweatproof!!! Perfect for summer. They do have additional shades online and at Walmart if you need a different shade. I am also head over heels in love with the Maybelline SuperStay Foundation. The lightest they have is 102 and is a more warm toned. There is a bit of a jump up to 110, but it too is a warm toned. 112 is supposed to be a neutral tone but I have it and it is more orangey than neutral. That also lasts all day long. Hope this helps! Btw, there is one shade lighter in the Too Faced Matte & Peachy foundation and it’s called Snow. Maybe that would be a better shade match? It is the lightest in that line. Love your videos! EL Double Wear is my absolute favorite! I’ve been on a new foundation journey, and found this is best for me as I’m getting older. I like to apply it with the orange Real Techniques sponge, which is surprisingly better than the Beauty Blender. For the foundation, they do sell a pump for $10! It’s amazing and comes with a little cover piece that goes over where the hole is to protect it :)
I love the Maybelline fit me ( hydrating one ) We can't even get it in the uk so I stockpile when I go to usa.
You can buy an air pump bottle on Amazon for the 3 Double Wear foundations you need to mix together and you don't have to deal with the mess. I use them for any of my foundations that don't have a pump. Also buy the Norpro foundation spatual, so you can get every drop out of the foundation bottles. It's amazing how good they work. I don't have a very good makeup collection, I don't really have one at all lol but I love listening to your humor and seeing your thought process as you get rid of things that you don't need. I feel like other youtubers just hang on to everything that they get sent to them just so their make up collection is huge. Your such a down to earth and "normal" woman that is so easy to relate to. I can't wait to see this baby when she gets here! Love you
FYI: Did you realize in your two Ivory No. 7 foundations. The first one (new in box) you kept cool & the other was warm? Estee Lauder now sells a pump however the MAC pymp is compatible too. If you're not in a hurry. AliExpress sells one that's identical to the MAC style for approx $2.65.
I took the pump off a foundation from the ordinary and put it on my waterblend - fits like a charm
A mac pump also fits - I have that on my Double wear
For the Estée Lauder foundation you can buy the pump from MAC and it works perfectly! That’s what I did. Of course you would think it would come with a pump but oh well❣️💕
For the Estée Lauder foundations you can buy a foundation bottle with a pump on amazon and mix them together in the bottle to make the right shade for you. That solves the problem of not having a pump and having to keep three bottles to get the right shade! Love your videos!
I LOVE the Rimmel Lasting Finish..don’t care for the new version at all. Based on the poor reviews on their website I am hoping they will see the error in their ways and bring back the full coverage formula

I felt bad that I had 5 foundations - now not so much - I love the Estee Lauder and Becca. You don't have a Cargo - I have one that I got so many compliments on. They only have 2 and I can't remember which one I liked - gone for a couple of months - I love these videos - like a Reader's Digest version of what you like and what you do'n't like and why - very helpful. I might give that No, 7 a try next time I see a deal. I also like that you don't rush through it like some others tend to do. The video is a bit longer but much more informative. Thanks!
I love this type of video! I have been on a kick of buying every foundation I can get my hands on looking for the best for my radical skin changes.
Suggestion for the superstay foundation: I also have dry skin and for me it just looks way to heavy on my skin by itself, even with a beauty blender so I have started using it to add just a little bit more coverage to some of my foundations and I LOVE it like that!!
You could use your darker hourglass to contour with. They say the Mac pump fits on the Estée Lauder bottle!
I hope Im not late saying this.... but did you know they changed the formula of the No7 lift and illuminate foundation? It was on my wishlist for a while but when I went online to buy one every review was horrible about the new completely different formula :-(
I am sure someone has already told you this but the Mac foundation pumps work in the double wear (original) so I’m sure they’d work in the nude one.
The Milani conseal and perfect in OOB is my HG! It’s amazing with the perfect neutral color. ( we tend to wear the same shades..)

Haha and I’m over here feeling guilty because I have 5 foundations. I need to get rid of 2 because they’re too drying on my skin (Wet and Wild photo focus and Bareminerals barepro) and the other three are super nice (maybelline fit me Dewey, L’Oreal true match, and bareminerals gel crème)

The Missha BB cream in 21 is soooo gray! But like you, I love the coverage, so I mix it with 27.
I need to repurchase the ELF foundation. I love it but have been out for awhile. I have way too many foundations for the average person. CZcams makes me buy way too much makeup but I'm not complaining LOL I want to try some of these that you're keeping.

To organize your foundations you could try getting the spice racks from ikea that are for drawers.
I don't like the UD Naked Skin Foundation, either!It just doesn't look good on my dry skin. Nice to know that I'm not the only one.
To me and I’ve heard others say the same. The CC cream and Bye Bye are the EXACT same. Same formula. Same coverage. Just the same product. I love them.
Jessica Carlock I found the buy buy similar but would NOT blend on my face the way the CC cream does. I ended up having to return it.
I love the Dr Jart BB creams and, like you, like a grey looking foundation. They just seem to neutralize my skin best. I wish I liked the It Cosmetics CC cream but it looked like a thick, oily mask on me and I don't apply a lot of foundation. It also broke me out and oxidized a ton on me. At 48, not much breaks me out so I returned it. I'm very curious to try the Missha one. I'm glad you mentioned the shades. I was on the fence on the 21 shade but you helped. Thank you for all of your hard work.
They have a cool spatula at Walmart near makeup brushes etc for getting the last of foundations out. Works well. Sip off and then I reuse it.
Have you ever tried the Skin 79 BB Cream? It’s an original Korean “beblesh” cream. It’s my favorite B.B. cream & I think it might be similar to the Misha. They sell it semi often on Haute Look for about $10 less than its usual price of $30 ish depending on what formula you get. The original skin 79 in the orange pump is the best imo

I have the Orange one too. :). Def gray in color but somehow it melts and blends in naturally.
I am a crafter and i have lots of paper craft stuff and art stuff. I am almost done going threw all my stuff. I have almost a whole box full to sell. And threw away a bunch. Its deffinatly nice going threw and getting rid of stuff.
Yes, Rimmel did discontinue both their lasting finish foundation and the matching primer. At least in the U.S.
I love watching your declutter videos. My "vanity" is a writing desk I've converted so I try to be selective due to space. But, it is about time I suck it up & tackle my lip products. Your declutters always give me the pep I need. :-)
I bought the almay best blend forever as something to throw on in the mornings to go run errands and stuff because it has spf 40 and I thought it’d be an quick easy thing to slap on and go and I love it. I’ve only ever tried it with my fingers (and some spots I’ll blend out with my sponge afterward) but I don’t use the sponge it comes with on top i just screw that off and squeeze it onto my hand and apply with my fingers. I find that it actually had really pretty great coverage that way, it builds up nicely over my scarring. I haven’t tried applying it with a brush or sponge but I loved it with my fingers (and I NEVER apply anything with my fingers lol)
The Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream is only like $10 on amazon!!! I just ordered it today because you are one of the only people I have never disliked a recommendation from! :)
I love that missha BB cream it is one of my favorite foundations also the missha BB in 13 is probably the closest can match I can find to my skin tone.

Me too! The Rimmel red top is my HG! I fear that it's been replaced forever by the new formula and packaging though. It's been removed from all the store shelves that I've been to. I ordered 3 bottles online as back ups. :)
No 7 has a shade matching app, but you have to have this color key card to hold up to your face to make it work. I found the color matching card at a Walgreens that had a large beauty section and a full no 7 display.
the red one is still widely available in the UK so i don’t think its discontinued
