      I guess I went a bit overboard, this is no longer just a remote-work video :-) But I use this coffee machine every single time I travel. I'm glad this video was helpful!

    Oh, no kindle reading in a shower? :( You definitely need it in your next video! Maybe even build a smart outdoor portable shower in a trolley?
    Jokes aside, cool video, David! 👍🏻👍🏻Thanks

      I've gotta reinvent myself, so reading in the shower is so 2022 :-) Now- working from a windy park! Yay.

      Thank you, so much! I'm glad you like it! The intro is made in Blender, I made it long ago, but this time I refreshed it a bit from my previous videos.

    You are not travelling with a second/mobile monitor, do you find yourself productive enough with only 1 monitor?

    • @hml
      @hml  Před 7 měsíci

      I am traveling with an iPad, which is essentially a second 13" monitor. You can see at 1:31 how I set it up as a second monitor. A Mac can just attach an iPad via USB, and it appears as another screen on the Mac. I used to mount it on the side with Mountie+ (check out here: czcams.com/video/MXwrrXH07Ww/video.html at 4:38), but I later realized that it fits perfectly on top of the keyboard, and it's actually more comfortable to look at, and doesn't require additional hardware.

    Great effort but I can tell that you are not working outside of your home often lol.... there are missing parts of your tech that you have to think about.
    For example lighting. A lot of places are dark how can see properly your lovely keyboard or be in a zoom call?
    Also you need a proper power bank to charge your laptop that requires a lot of power due to Optal C1.
    A good headset to remove noices around you is a must as well.
    You dont need a coffee maker hahaha... You just must have a drinking bottle with hot water and a little spoon and you can make a simple coffee or tea when you are in the mountains lol...
    You have the right wifi router but you need to go with M6 pro... if you think it is expensive then have a second phone use the 5G. With 4G you cannot do much in 2024!
    If you are interesting I can help you to buy the right stuff ... you see I am working 200days a year away of offices but I like to go to work office as well :-)

      I've been a digital nomad for 3 years, and now I am traveling at least 5 months a year, so I do work outside of my home very often. I don't, however, work from the wilderness, but rather from coworkings, hotels, and Airbnbs, so the needs a slightly different. I'm also doing CZcams, so half of my carry-on is lighting 😂 Yeah, the Opal C1 takes a lot of power, less so in the low-power mode. I use the Bose NCH700 for years, and the QC35 before that for noise cancelling. As a CEO, I'm on video calls at least 6 hours a day. And I definitely need a coffee maker - the coffee in US hotels is awful, and buying 10 cups of terrible coffee in Starbucks or something like that is more expensive than this coffee maker. Been using it almost daily on trips in Greece, US, Israel, and other places... I do not work from the mountains :-) When I got this router, the M6 didn't come out yet, and if we're talking about the mountains - most mountains don't have 5G reception... in fact, on Greek islands you're lucky if you get 4G :-) But I'm definitely open to learning about new gadgets and tools that can improve my portable work setup.
