scary! why is it legal? im so sick of hackers
It's a tool, and the issue is not with the tool itself, but how it's used. I use it to open my own doors, garage, office, control the TV in at my mom's, since she lost her remote, and control the AC in hotels in rooms I cannot control it otherwise... Nothing illegal. Others could use it to brute force an unsecure door... Why are axes, saws and hammers legal? After all - you could use an axe to break a door, saw to cut somebody's gas line, and a hammer to break a window, or worse... And yet - they are still legal! Why?
what about 1. vending machines 2. claw machines 3. games at like an arcade/ fun place 4. turning off security cameras
Thank u! I've been thinking so much about this little beast. I just want to be a arsehole and turn all the tvs off in McDonald's lol. Let the fat people sweat 😅

Truly amazing HML!! This video is so helpful! You have a new subscriber!
Awesome, thank you!
Thanks for the great content.
Thank you so much! I appreciate you saying this.
Great video. Sora will be good for surreal videos. I'm interested to use it for cool space videos. It would be cool if we could train it using specific footage. Id like to train it using real nasa footage as ive noticed ai video footage of space is really bad. Also i found it interesting how the spacetime thingy resembles the block universe model.
That's an interesting idea! I doubt that OpenAI will allows us to train on custom footage, maybe only to fine tune it? But with DALL-E, we still cannot train it... However, I'm sure other projects (SVD?), will allows us to do that shortly, the same way Stable Diffusion can be trained on basically anything for image generation. We're starting to see more and more open models for video generation. About the block universe model - that's a fascinating thought! It really does!
@@hml Agree. Many thanks for your reply.
I think it's rediculous that open ai isn't making 4o avaliable for windows yet listing got4o as if you are using it. As a paid user it says that I am paying for 4o. It's the same deal on android phones. People are making videos using "4o" when it's literally just the version of 4 us paid users have had for months.
I don't think so, maybe you are confused
If it says "4o", it uses 4o. Not to be confused with 4.0. And no, paid subscribers didn't have access to 4o before the announcement...

@@bubberz ah, I just checked, and my ChatGPT for phone version is already on 4o, didn't even notice that. I'm on Android 15 Beta right now.
@@hml yeah. It's on 4o as far as the LLM version but it isn't the version that Open AI displayed in their presentation a couple weeks ago. It doesn't have the live camera view yet and updated voice capabilities like being able to interrupt in the middle of conversation and just being all around more immersive. I believe they said that they'd start releasing that update sometime in the next week or so. I'm a beta tester too. I religiously check for the update 😂

"this app can't run in this version of the OS" (Sonoma) 😡
Wait, what? I'm also on Sonoma. Apple Silicon or Intel? I'm on version 14.4.1
@@hml Intel :(
Ah, yeah, only Apple Silicon... I think they might be using the NPU...
too bad it requires Apple Silicon
I think at this point pretty much anything newly released for Mac will require Silicon. With that said - no idea why such a simple app (that does 99% of it's work on a server) cares about the CPU that much, unless it has some logic on the machine itself...
macOS & iOS always get apps first; developers just focus on Apple first because people actually buy apps unlike Windows & Android users who want everything for free
Hi, Is it GPT4 free unlimited or GPT4o free unlimited or GPT3.5 or same as the android app
I don't think that there's any unlimited use of GPT anywhere, the cost of running the servers is too high. Your best bet is to run ollama or something else on your local machine.
Nothing is free in this world my friend. I am currently paying $20 usd for GPT4o monthly if you want more features & priority
Yes it is. This was obvious before we even heard an out it.
Fair enough, but still good to see confirmation.
It’s funny how Microsoft chose to name their platform for backwards compatibility as the same name as the NSA’s program for covert universal surveillance. Doesn’t inspire much confidence in the direction of windows11/12 with AI. For me personally it has put a nail in the coffin of ever wanting to use windows ever again
LOL, I completely missed that! But now that you said, I cannot miss it! Microsoft Prism vs NSA Prism, now is hard to miss. But yeah, been using Windows for the first time in the last few weeks after not using it for around 15 years, and while it improved, it still an constantly-updating-constantly-crashing mess.
Use AI and get left behind...
Why would you get left behind if you use AI?
@@hml shortcuts... in any sort of quality production there are none. Jump of the hype train, buckle down and focus on the skill you wanna have... and then start training
Using AI tools is a skill in itself. Yes, it can do pretty crazy stuff even when not prompted properly, but just think about a 3D rendering software that can generate an amazing image with just the default "cube", that you (probably) couldn't draw by hand... by from that cube to Toy Story or Avatar, there's still a very long way to go. Same thing with AI - I've spent the last 5 months learning how to generate AI images with Stable Diffusion, and I'm still far from an expect, and that's after I have almost 20 years experience with Photoshop, and know Blender since version 0.9. If it were up to me, I wouldn't call it "Artificial Intelligence", but rather 'Augmented Intelligence".

It's my absolute pleasure!
So when are we going to use Sora?
It's a good question, I guess closer to the end of the year. But in the meanwhile the competition is heating up, with Stable Video Diffusion being already here and open source, AnimateDiff, Google's Veo and China's Vidu all breathing down OpenAI's neck, it's just a matter of who releases it first...
I’m wondering if they’re prioritizing other companies in specific situations to ensure they are not label as a Microsoft owned company
That's one way to look at it, but I actually think it's the opposite - they make sure they don't "outshine" Microsoft, so to Microsoft's users and enterprises, Microsoft would be the only "AI provider".
chatgpt 4o is available for windows. i have it on my win 10.
You mean you can use it in your browser on Win10, right? Because the ChatGPT Desktop that OpenAI introduced last week, that supports the new voice chat and screen sharing, is only announced for MacOS, with no date for a Windows release, and that's after Microsoft invested $10B in OpenAI. So why there's no Windows version?
It’s interesting that OpenAI typically use Apple products in most their presentations.
Yeah, they use only Apple products, and their desktop/mobile apps are release on Apple products first.
I don't know why people are assuming a Omni has any religious connotation or that OpenAI is being pretentious. Have you ever heard of Omnidirectional? Omnivore? Omnibus? So, let's have omnium chill out and think before just repeating what one person with an ignorant concept of the word “omni” means to define your opinion. Can you have your own opinions without anyone telling you what and how to think? If we continue this way, omnium is lost.
I love what you did there :-) And yet, I do think that "omnipotent" is most commonly associated with god. Just try searching "omnipotent" on Google, the first answer is "(of a deity) having unlimited power". So is GPT-4o "a deity"? :-)
Is there anyway to use this without other people seeing what I am doing? I normally private message midjourney. I don't know how to private message hml
You could try to run the code yourself on your computer or in a a Colab, but it's not going to be easy.

I’ve been paying for ChatGPT for over a year and I don’t have access to all the functions yet.
With the extra marauder antenna to decrypt 2.4 MHz. So far, some take a couple of hours to a day.
It's Not Free !
As I said, OpenAI rolls it out gradually, or to quote them directly: "We are starting to roll out more intelligence and advanced tools to ChatGPT Free users over the coming weeks."
0:55 - "It can generate text-to-speech like we've never seen before." Only if you've never seen Pi before.
Pi as in a Raspberry Pi? Not only I've seen it, I've made many videos on this channel of Pi projects. How does this compare? The Pi voice assistants are robotic and monotonous, like Siri, Google Assistant or Alexa. This is fluid, flirtatious, and full of emotions. It also doesn't stop to think for 30 seconds before answering. After seeing a bunch of TTS engines, nothing I've seen so far compares to what they achieved here.
RIP Alexa 🤣
Alexa became grandma now 😂
Can it actually do all the things that google assistant does though, like making an appointment over the phone?
Considering what they're achieved already such things are very trivial, it's just matter of APIs integration. I'm sure it'll be integrated with a lot of APIs
My experience has been that Omni is a huge step backwards. My GPTs are dumber, lazier, more likely to ignore their instructions, more likely to make mistakes, and much less personable in our interactions.
Idk if your being sarcastic but GPT4o isn't even available for GPTs yet. It still uses GPT4.
@@DerpyNoodIe Not according to my GPTs. They don't automatically switch to the new model. But if you instruct them to do so, they will. Or at least they pretend to? At any rate, the performance of all the GPTs I've created and have been using for months has suffered noticeably since the launch of 4o.
@itchy79 how do you instruct them to switch to GPT-4o? Haven't seen a setting like that
@@hml You go to the "create" tab on the GPT's editing page and ask it to do so. But it appears the GPT can't roll itself back to the earlier model - I get an error message when I ask for that
@@itchy79 if you just "ask it to do it" I'm pretty sure it just hallucinates that it does it. Try asking it to switch to GPT-4gg, pretty sure it pretend do it as well.
Omni= Omnipotent, Omniscient & Omnipresent. All knowing, unlimited power and always with. These are attributes of God. AI is trying to be one.
Its more A than I, will be for a while.
As long as we move away from more H than I, I'm fine with it.
I have a feeling that Chat GPT-4o has only been partly unveiled. The rest of it and what it can do when it’s baked into the OS gets announced at WWDC.
Google point, it's going to be interesting to see how OpenAI will navigate the partnership and large investment with Microsoft and Apple, and the corresponding conflicts of interests.
People should just accept that OpenAI's announcement was just that, incremental at best. You better believe OpenAI would show the best they have before Google's event (which they claim to not care about but time their events with them lol). Stop believing in miracles lol, Sam Altman is a business man.
Absolutely, OpenAI is under heavy pressure from competitors, investors, and partners, and they have to show something, but I bet it's very hard to deliver when you're basically competing with the whole tech world at this point. If they had something more impressive to show, they would. At least in a preview, like they showed Sora. They are probably keeping some things for WWDC, but I don't think they have anything revolutionary.
The examples of use is frighteningly designed to make you think that it is a fun, playful, interesting intelligent sentient system. My experiments shows that it simply dips in to already described or written content. Then wraps it in a pleasant sounding digital version of a helpful person.
Before they tell you how fantastic the AI is, I’ll give you a great example. I asked ChatGPT with the 4o to tell me how to make a flag wave in the wind in Blender 3D. It gave me a rather good explanation. I refined the query with asking ChatGPT to tell me how to make A DANISH FLAG wave in Blender 3D. I expected an explanation with instructions on how to design/texture the flag. But no. I got the EXACT same insteuctions as before.
Shouldve asked how to make a Danish flag, and then to make it wave. User error
@@guardiantko3220 You are almost correct. But the instructions I got included making a plane. It is AFTER making the plane that you either give it a texture or subdivide and colour the plane correctly.

Right, in the latest Android it's in the "Developer Options" under "Bug Report"
What YOU didn't tell us, was that "free" means extremely limited daily quota.
Thats not true its not rolled out yet nothing is we can use it but it isnt good, its so weird, as a free user you should get 40 messages per 3 hours and paid users get 80 its on their website, however as a paid user i get barely any either and gpt 4 runs out at the same time, so none of it really is implimented, the only thing i can say is in the web version if your paid it sometimes works.
Fair enough, I thought it's obvious, but I guess it's not - so yeah, paid users get a bigger quota, and a longer context window...
4 letters. WWDC
There's one thing that nobody is mentioning. Why is this model doing things like teaching trigonometry? That's not something you usually associate with a transfromer / auto regressive predictive analysis model architecture.
The model is teaching trigonometry not because it understands trigonometry, but because trigonometry text books are part of it's training data. arxiv.org/abs/2203.02155 - InstructGPT has been trained on school books, among other things.
This is not 2016... Come on guys, things have advanced such that it now can reason, have a inner model of the world, physics, etc
@@highcollector All these LLMs everyone is fawning all over each other over are based on the transformer model architecture, released by Google in 2017. The main thing that has changed is mroe compute and training data has been thrown at them. Now maybe I'm wrong, but with this new GPT O model, from my vantage point it just looks like software developers doing what software developers do -- developing new features and enhancing existing features. The teaching of trigonometry made me raise an eyebrow, but chance that's just for the demo, and aside fro that, all I see is a software product update that has nothing to do with actual artificial intelligence.
BECAUSE AI learns about every topic of knowledge in the world. People will use it to learn any skill.

There was another major point before that - the timing and focus of the presentation, doing it exactly 1 day before I/O and focusing on the assistant and voice capabilities and not even mentioning the rest - was a very deliberate move. You can skip the 2 minutes I retell what was presented for those who didn't see... But when you come to an opinion/reaction video, don't skip the opinion, you expect an opinion.
It's Omni because Omni means all. Omni=all potent=power omnipotent=all powerful Omniscient=all knowing omnipresent=all present omnivore=eating everything.
Pretty sure everyone knows
That doesn't make it less pretentious. Calling what basically is a .1 version of GPT the "all powerful" model...
@@hml omni. Because it's multimodal. It can receive multiple inputs at the same time. That's what makes it different from the competitors.
It's impressive to say the Least but it's not god-level.
@@hmlI don't think they mean to invoke God with the name. I think they are referring to the multimodal capabilities.
This is so dangerous and needs to be stopped with laws, but OpenAI is in the group that is supposed to recommend these exact laws. Especially for chats and meetings. Completely private chats and non-public meetings are now shared with OpenAI and all this data is stored on a user-specific basis. this is industrial espionage and the end of all privacy.
Yeah, OpenAI wants to be like Google, but with you volunteering your data, instead of them collecting it without you noticing. I don't think laws can stop something like that, it can only be stopped by open and transparent alternatives being better.
Lmaooo you’ve been spied on the moment you’ve used any device connected to the internet. You’re not important so no need to worry, unless of course you plan of doing something highly illegal
Same can be said for anything that anyone uploads on the internet.
End of privacy started about 20 years ago when we all got smartphones.
@@Tone_Of_Dials they don’t care, you’re literally being spied on rn and you’re commenting on a video. Lol people are so delusional
TIL, thanks

Great breakdown! $175 is a great price for this. But do you think it's worth it, given that the MacBook built in camera is pretty good on its own?
I'd say that if you have the latest MacBook, the improvement isn't huge. If you want to improve the quality, get the Opal C1. But if you have an older laptop, or a laptop from some other brand, the Tadpole is a great upgrade, and takes almost no space.
Hey there, thank you very much for the tutorial. I was just wondering what should I upgrade if I want to build a faster and more stable VPN? Which part of the google vm should be upgraded? Thanks.
Meanwhile, I am also curious how can I systematically learn these stuffs. How can I determine whether the server (or vm) is private. I appreciate any advice you may have : ).
Key words: Firmware firmware firmware!
Well, there's a limit to what tbr hardware can do, so it's not just firmware. But yeah, firmware can unlock a lot of what this device can do.
