Heres Showoffs 2nd theme, used in Dec. 1975 and the 1983 edition of Dream House on NBC theme. To here in better quality, type or paste &fmt=18 to the end of the URL and refresh!
Not sure if anyone has seen the early credits, but the music supervisor was Michael Malone ("Match Game" among his credits). Being a G-T person may explain why he used this particular piece.
If any of the NBC stations that aired Dream house on their station had the hindsight to make backup air masters and air copies that could be of big help to Mr. Reid.
wow! I don't remember this one being used on Showoffs, (but, I could have been in school at the time) but I do remember it on Dream House .. keep the great stuff coming ....
Bob Eubanks went from giving away honeymoon vacations to couples on The Newlywed Game to giving away Dream Houses on NBC This is a Game Show Legend God Bless Him
Dream House, as well as Trivia Trap, both helped me get over my fear of the 'WHOOP, WHOOP WHOOOOP' sound effects from The Price Is Right.😁 I think of my oldest brother when I hear the theme song for Dream House, and my older brother when I hear the theme song for Trivia Trap.😂 They, moreover, were happy that I got over my fear of the sound effects; hence the reason I started watching The Price Is Right when I was ten!😕😟
that explains it -- the first Showoffs theme I thought matched that show better than this one... and, yes, I am old enough to remember watching it (but, hey didn't have the VCR's back then)

I’m not good at home names, but here’s my idea of an opening should it be brought back, and as a solo game. This is nma anwuli, originally from Moreno Valley California, now residing in Albuquerque New Mexico. She’s playing for the fabulous New York city estate! This is Jessica rathwell from Vancouver Canada, and she’s playing for the hollywood hills model. This is Aaron Michael, from Texarkana Texas, and he’s playing for the Texas Hillside place. Who will win their home of a lifetime, find out today on Dream House! Now here’s the host of our show, the man with the keys to your dream house, Mark Summers!
Didn't Michael Malone compose the theme, especially 13 weeks into the series, when the key was changed for the theme to have that wealthy, country club-like feel?
And now, here's the man with the keys to your Dream House, Mr. Bob Eubanks!
Well, at least there's something from _Dream House '83_ that's left intact.

Excellent game shows theme!!

Dream House creator-producer Don Reid was a fool to leave the Dream House tapes in his home. He should have paid to have them stored in a tape vault.
Todd Wacha WHAT?!! Was there a fire?! My God... He had the money to have a fireproof safe! Are you serious?!
Jack21Spades
Nope, Reid stored the master tapes and the music and it all got destroyed in a flood
A FLOOD... Then lemme adapt... A WATERPROOF SAFE or location..?
If any of the NBC stations that aired Dream house on their station had the hindsight to make backup air masters and air copies that could be of big help to Mr. Reid.
Todd Wacha Wrong. They were in a part of Universal Studios in California and they were destroyed in a flood that happened there

joebradio It was originally composed for Showoffs, but never used.

Also the Big Bets on the 1986 revival of "Card Sharks" on CBS (with the late Bill Rafferty hosting the first-run syndicated version).
as well as Big Money on Trivia Trap and even thousands and millions of dollars on Powerball: The Game Show

To Brian Lewis : If you have Roxio or another sound/music editing software, you can record this and fix it up afterwards.
This was written for Showoffs, but it did not sell until 1983.

The theme to Dream House has always been this theme, but on a higher keynote.

I wonder if someday the second theme to "Dream House" will be available on the internet.
i scheduled a stitched version of the second theme to be upload in september this year.
Didn't Michael Malone compose the theme, especially 13 weeks into the series, when the key was changed for the theme to have that wealthy, country club-like feel?
unfortunately, it's no longer available online (if its the one I think you're talking about), Sony pulled a cease and desist on them.
R.I.P. Larry Blyden, Bobby Van, Mike Darrow from Dream House, & Showoffs.
But it wasn't in full. Some parts were cut out.
