I'm still wrapping my head around the Pittsburgh Modular Taiga so i figured i might as well roll camera and do some realtime sound exploration! This video is mostly sound only (no talking after intro) as i explore creating some bleeps and bloops in the first half and some epic drones in the second half.

Just got one recently as well! Absolutely love it so far! For the drone you started working with did you initially just hold one note on your keyboard and open up the dynamics to have it ring out?
Yes exactly. It actually held whatever the last note was in the arpeggio previously when I canceled it. Since the dynamics mostly acts like a VCA, when I opened it up it just kept droning. Really anything past closed will do this on the dynamics controller. I didn’t intend to go into a drone when I was playing but it was too cool not to explore further!
The Taiga is def pretty cool. It’s nice to see a manufacturer make something with its own unique character and quirks. I’m really enjoying it so far!
You actually don’t even need to hold a note if you open the dynamics controller up. Just a single press to set the pitch of the oscillator and it’ll keep droning.
