Last year, on my way back from Hawaii, inside the airport there were stations where staff would check for bugs, fruit etc.. and we walked up to the station, showed our passes and we’re promptly told “Wait, you’re going to Canada, never mind you’re not required for inspection” we then realized there’s no threat of invasive species of bugs here, it’s so cold everything just dies anyway lol

@Ben Jackbag Mank It's called food safety risk management. Yes, it could spread one way or another, but you CAN substantially lower the risk of it spreading, thus lowering the risk of losing millions, if not billions of dollars not just in agriculture, but also in healthcare, as contaminated foods and/or foreign insects/fungi could cause so much damage you couldn't even imagine. Not dealing with it is just anarchy, do you want chaos? Think about it next time you go to a grocery store and be thankful that these risk management systems are there for you and your prosperity and safety.

The incinerator is air tight and isn't vented into the work area. Worked pipeline before. We marked out the job site, but we didnt start working until almost a year later. Some guys had a field full of weed way out in the woods. ATF and the FBI showed up and shut the job down. Cataloged the site and burned everything. We weren't allowed back to the job site until a week later.
