Given the high amount of requests for the song used in my intro, I decided to post it here. I don’t own this song nor the rights to it. It is being shared freely and fairly for the spiritual edification of Orthodox Christians, and those looking to become Orthodox. It is performed by the Beirut men’s choir.

I was a Muslim and because of him, we were bewitched and we were sick in every house and we were not healed even with ruqyah, but I alone began to believe in Christ and everything went away. I was Roman Catholic, went through a very rough childhood. Fell into the Occult, wrote an anti bible that basically reinvented and bastardized scripture. I later became an Agnostic Theist, then a Taoist, and finally had the audacity to "invent a new religion" and sadly people liked it and were interestesd in learning more. One of my psychology teachers said i displayed all the makings of a cult leader. Glad I found Brother Nathanael, which allowed me to discover Patriarch Kyrill, which allowed me to discover Anthos, which allowed me to discover Fr. Josiah Trentum, which started me down the path to Orthodoxy. On July 14th of 2024 I will complete my Catecumens and become a full Orthodox. On July 20th of 2024 I will marry the woman I love who chose to become Orthodox with me. Christ is risen! Glory be to The Father☦️, and to The Son ☦️,and to The Holy Ghost ☦️, as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end Amen.

@@gaviriak History is not all black and white, Im sure you remember how Alexis 1st Comnène used and betrayed the crusaders. It was a hard time, religious relationship and the balance of power where really complex at that time.

I stopped using weed, all the issues and problems that I buried deep in myself are coming out. I used for more than 10 years to cope with my depression, the loneliness of studying abroad and my break-ups that always destroyed and left me empty.
I am smoking less cigarette but mostly is because I segregated my self in my countryside house so I can't buy them. I took all the cigarettes butts and made new ones, even walked on the street to find them.
I am ashamed of myself and want to get better

First of all, clearly there is a lot of division in Christianity, that is a fact. One can have their own understanding of the matter or preference, but the division in Christianity is a fact, proven, even, by your comment. Even Eastern Orthodoxy itself is divided (Old Believers, Old Calendarists, True Orthodox Church etc.). And those people (from those denominations of Orthodoxy) will say to you exactly the same thing as you are saying right now. They will even blame The Eastern Orthodoxy in almost the same things as The Eastern Orthodoxy blames everyone else.
Second, how do you know that The Eastern Orthodoxy is the right one, and not the other way around? Or maybe it is The Oriental Orthodoxy or The Eastern Church (pre-Ephesian churches)? Maybe one of them was and is the only right one church, and the entirety of The Eastern Orthodoxy is heretical and mistaken? There are a lot of theses, hypotheses and points of view you can personally agree or disagree with, and incline towards or follow those you find more convincing for yourself. But at the end of the day there is no 100% way to prove such matters

Interesting to see so many Catholics think about or do end up converting to orthodoxy. I’ve been going to catholic mass for some time now, and I always felt something is missing. I used to be extremely depressed and had many suicidal thoughts. I even once was a Muslim because I thought that it would help me, but it only made me worse, and when a girl that I liked rejected me, I felt even more alone and depressed.
