Everyone on the chain of Baxter's rescue is a HERO. Kelsey, who stopped on the road saved his life, the NOCO people and surgeon saved his life, his foster (fail ❤) mom and dad saved his life. He's so precious and has the best life ever now. Thank you! ❤😊❤
Nothing better than a happy ending, just nothing! I love that ladies husband, she is a lucky woman but they both lucked out when they adopted Baxter. He is such a keeper!

Hi Joe, all animals that come to us as strays are put on a five day holding period, allowing owners time to find their pet's photo on our website and reclaim. After those five days, Baxter officially belonged to us. Great question! Side note: during the five day holding period, Dr. Gail prescribed him pain medication and provided palliative care since we could not proceed with surgery until he was officially ours.
