Since you are traveling so much for weeks at a time including internationally, I wonder what happened to the cats. Maybe you gave them up pretty soon after you bought them?
At the last minute I told him to bring me two. It was quite possibly the best decision I've ever made. We laughed at their feline silliness for 15 years. Almost identical but completely different. If one found trouble the other wasn't far behind. Brother and sister. Murphy and Molly. So loved!
My boys are Grim and Bjorn, two black beauties. I found them on a pavement when they were less than a week old. Then last December I found a little ginger baby in a storm drain on our property and they have a little brother to pick on. We named him Loki. Never thought I'd own 3 cats but here we are.
I adopted 6 kittens and their semi-feral mother over 13 years ago. 5 beautiful black babies and one black tiger. Then I managed to capture one of their black kitten relatives a few weeks later. I still have 4 of them and a friend has one. They will be 14 in July. 😻 I also captured another of their relatives, a funny little orange cat, the following year, whom I still have. So yes, lots of cats! Like potato chips, you can't have just one!😹
Yeah, i bought a brother from another mother for my 1 cat, but because they have age difference they did not become friends. Instead the young one is playing with a neighbour’s kitten who is 1 year age difference. This is hilarious how they play
The shelter was like a kitten creche where they could freely socialise and welcome potential new human family. I don't like the places where they're all kept cooped up in cages with just food, water and litter, but nothing to amuse themselves. So many shelters don't have any toys or socialising environments for the cats, whether kitten or adult.
@@melissabarrett9750 The shelter I volunteer at has nine rooms where most of our cats live. Some who have medical issues or don't get along with other cats live in two-room "cat condos" where they have soft beds and toys, and they are regularly allowed out into the main area to exercise as long as they are properly supervised. Well...under normal circumstances anyway. Lately we've been dealing with a ringworm outbreak, and we haven't been able to let them roam as freely lest the infection get completely out of control. For now, we have to settle for getting all gowned and gloved up to give them all individual pets and attention.
Pets are better in pairs. They will keep each other company when you are at work or studies. Fur-babies are wonderful. Congratulations on becoming a fur-Daddy. Best of luck with this new adventure in life.
Yeah, I adopted two cats from the shelter so they could have company (their previous family apparently had kids that turned out allergic). They were 11 and 8 years old, and they loved to play with each other. Sadly, Rocki (the younger one) passed away from organ failure when he was just 10, and it broke my heart twice over; when he had to go, and again when I saw Chilly started to sleep in his old favorite places where she never used to sleep previously. Chilly is still going strong at 15, and I hope she remains healthy for many years more

Omg they are so beautiful 😻 Just some information to make their life much more better. If you have two cat you should at least get 2 litter boxes. (3 is better) Cats prefer their water and food bowl to be in the different sides of the room, they don’t like it when it’s next to each other. Cats are carnivores and dry food is not healthy for them. Even it’s a little bit they should be eating wet food to become healthier cats. I hope they will become the cutest and healthiest cats.🥰
my suggestion would be to not give kibbles, they aren't good for pets. Stick to whole foods, like chicken, fish etc. That's their staple diet. They'll live longer and healthier.
Congrats on the kids 😻😻 Pls make sure you do your research so you have all the information and stuff you need to make sure they have the best life possible. There are a lot of opinions out there so get your info from trusted sources such as your vet, cat charities or the likes of Jackson Galaxy. Best wishes from the UK ❤ One small piece of advice I will give is that if they're to be indoor kittehs (&you're able/ allowed) then build them a catio - it doesn't have to be big & can be easily DIYd. They will love you for it and it will do wonders for their health 😊 But I'm just a random Internet stranger so pls go watch catio videos & check out the benefits for yourself 😊

It's so lovely to see this. I used to volunteer at a shelter as a 'cat socialiser' to help the cats get more used to people so that when adopters visited they would be more comfortable and interact with them. This makes them more likely to be adopted as people tend to choose the cats who come up to them. That shelter looks lovely, they all look well cared for in a clean, well designed space with lots of room.

Deciding which babies to take home is so very difficult...they are ALL DESERVING of a good home and love and kindness. Bless you for making that decision and those babies will now have a great home. Warms my ❤️!!!! And THAT guy is a keeper for sure. Good man with a big heart.
One of the best things you can do is ask for BONDED PAIRS. They settle faster, they won't dislike each other for maybe months and choosing one and leaving it's best friend behind is SO MEAN. YOU LITERALLY SAVE BEST FRIENDS FOREVER. SO THEY GET DOUBLE JOY. The rescue people will have a quiet cry of joy too. Choosing just 2 randomly on colour or because YOU like them can break up two loving bonded pairs. But all cats desperately need homes - but if you want to do the kindest thing, ask for BONDED PAIRS. So few people take 2, to start with. So hard to home bonded pairs.
I have five cats here , all rescues , two are bonded brother and sister , and the newest one has been taken under the paw of another of my cats and has bonded strongly with him :)

Be sure to get educated about proper cat nutrition! A lot of the options available in stores are full of fillers, sugars and low quality meat. Cats are obligate carnivores, so nothing plant based is needed, apart from a small amount of fiber equivalent to what would be found in a mouse's stomach. A good diet will prevent a lot of health problems in the future! I hope that wheezing cat is getting treated, looked like asthma or a symptom of heart problems :(
You seem to be the only commenter that noticed or cared to comment. Hope they get treatment for that cat too; thought he would've reported that back to the lady showing them around.
A good rule of thumb is a little box for each cat plus one. (So 3 for 2 cats.) Definitely at least 2. Just having ample little boxes takes unimaginable stress off all cats. They like them big, open as much as possible, easy to get into, and clean. That's cats, lol. They're particular about certain things, but obviously more than worth the work. Plus, they work too. Cats are the best 24/7 pest control workers you'll ever know
make sure to get them fixed as soon as they are old enough especially any males. they are less likely to spray when fixed earlier. getting them used to have their claws clipped early eases things and by getting two it is better for them. cat trees and perches are necessary to save your furniture
When I have room to adopt, I just call the shelter and ask which cat(s) is/are sad, unadoptable or in danger, and I go in front of the shelter, fill in the papers and adopt. I could not even choose. But I am thankful to the people who do not buy and/or do adopt. Thank you to them.
A man that loves cats is everything. And you even noticed he needed his eyes clean. Please loosen their collars. Drives me nuts when I see collars choking fur babies. How are they doing? Your girlfriend is precious too. 💖
In the future it's always best to confine any new pet to one room w minimal hiding spots. Double ck windows and caution friends u have a new pet so don't just walk in. And always double ck toxic plants, unscreened windows, no sewing paraphanalia, etc.
Thanks so much for adopting these two precious kittens. They look just like my Smokey cat. The woman at the shelter said they were found behind a dumpster. Now they have a beautiful happy long life with their wonderful mommy and daddy. Make sure to shoop out the cat box every day cats do like to go to the bathroom in a dirty cat box. I have 3 cats currently in my home they make the best pets.
Oh my gosh, this reminds me so much of when I adopted my first two kittens in the 90’s…they were 6mos old (Gina & Princess)! I was like a kid on Xmas morning just like this guy was! Great video 👍🏼👏🏼😻😻

Cats really do do better in pairs, they can keep each other company and play. Also they're so much fun to watch lol my two are buddies and my husband and I love watching them chase each other around and play
Hey guys I stumbled upon your video & I love it! As a cat momma myself, every one of my kittos, crossed my path & have been with me ever since. I have 2 sets of 3 siblings, & 3 not related. The last baby I got this past July, & spent 4 hours rescuing her with just a youtube video of a momma cat meowing & my shirt I threw over her after sneaking up on her lol. Anyway I just wanted to share a little long life tip, as I just recently encountered some health issues of my own with some of my babies. Some of my kittos were having uti issues, & the main cause was too much dry food. While yes my kittos drank water I soon found out that cats only drink enough water to survive not to thrive. So I did some long research & found out that wet food or raw food is best. I chose to do wet food mixed with a little dry & some water. I mix it all in a mixing bowl, let the dry soak up some water & can food juices for about 30 mins & then give it to them. Their uti issues went away, their coats are softer, nice & shiny & they have soo much more energy now, plus their poop isn't as big & the smell was cut down by at least 80%, which as a momma of 9, is a huge difference. Cause it didn't matter what kind of litter I used (I swear I tried them all lol) when someone took a poop, the whole house could smell it lol. My babies are all under 10 years old & I've never realized how much the dry food was impacting their health. I personally buy my can food at Sam's Club, because its cheaper. But I just wanted to let you guys know so your babies don't run into any health issues as they get older. 🥰 Also they say your supposed to have 1 litter box per cat plus one extra, so since I have 9 I guess I'm supposed to have 10 boxes 😳 well I have the same litter boxes you guys have but the extra extra large version & I have 6 of them & that works perfectly for my kittos. I'm guessing they say that so each one has a place to go all the time, especially while cleaning one, but that has never been an issue. My kittos always want to use the litter box I am currently cleaning instead of the ones that are already clean 🤣. Oh & one more fun fact, Hydrogen Peroxide works wonders to get the smell of cat pee out. I also discovered while dealing with the uti symptoms, what works wonders to get the cat pee out of clothes, bedding & anything else that can be thrown in the washer. If you ever run into problems like that. I almost had to get half of a new wardrobe because dirty laundry baskets were used as litter boxes & only doing laundry once a week, let's just say the longer it soaks into the fibers of your clothes, bedding, etc the harder it is to get out😬. I even had to take precautions & use a waterproof zipper mattress protector, with a waterproof fitted sheet mattress protector & then my normal bedsheets because the uti issues were that bad.. & anytime an accident happened I would just take off my bedsheets along with the waterproof fitted one & put on new & wash the dirty. The zipper one protects the mattress incase some kitty nails made holes in the fitted one on top but so far I haven't had that issue once. Anyway after days, almost a week of straight research I finally found my solution lol I don't want to drop product names in here unless someone asks, I don't want to sound like a sales add or product pusher cause I'm not. I'm just a cat mom who loves her kittos & wanted to share some fun & healthy tips for your beautiful duo. 🥰 have a good day!!
The sad part about adopting a cat is all the cats we leave behind. I adopted a 6 year old calico female in September 2021 & was so upset to leave a beautiful solid grey 3 year old behind. She was adopted two weeks later so happy about that. My new buddy is very affectionate and even runs to me when I call her. Loves to be massaged, scratched and combed. Drools slightly when I scratch under her chin. Very playful. Glad you adopted two so they can entertain each other when you're not home.
Thank you for adopting I hope they have an awesome life. It's really tough to choose. Sometimes cats act reserved in a center but they come out of their shells once they are adopted. I have a special heart for the older cats they often get over looked. Kittens are only kittens for 8 months so they grow really fast
I keep watching kitty adoption videos in anticipation for my adopting a cat later this year! I was shooting for August but I’m not able to take a week off to help a kitty adjust until October. So videos like this are always exciting to watch! I’m going to be adopting a cat at a cat cafe in my area. My twin and I visited the place recently just to simply play with the cats and we had a wonderful time! Can’t wait for October to come! Good luck with your adorable gray sweeties! I had a gray polydactyl cat growing up and she was incredibly flexible! I miss her and the three other cats who entertained me growing up! RIP Shem, Cleo, Mimi, and Dottie Lick. Miss you forever. As others have suggested, make sure that you give them a good diet that benefits their obligate carnivore bodies and water fountains help to encourage them to drink enough water each day! I wish you the best of luck, because you will soon be surrendering your home to their whims and fancies!
should adopt as many as your place allows and love em all! And put update videos on them. Add some cat trees too, preferably by windows (cats will love to look out windows), and you can decorate it however you want (but it'll be torn up eventually)

The shelters do that all the time they put 2 together so a person will feel guilty about seperating them and they will be adopted together

The Gray Kittens are Beautiful when they get Older, and are very smart. You should really get two kitty boxes so they both have one.

When I have room to adopt, I just call the shelter and ask which cat(s) is/are sad, unadoptable or in danger, and I go in front of the shelter, fill in the papers and adopt. I could not even choose. But I am thankful to the people who do not buy and/or do adopt. Thank you to them.

In the future it's always best to confine any new pet to one room w minimal hiding spots. Double ck windows and caution friends u have a new pet so don't just walk in. And always double ck toxic plants, unscreened windows, no sewing paraphanalia, etc.
For kitties, chewing on somebody's face is like saying hello.

Thanks so much for adopting these two precious kittens. They look just like my Smokey cat. The woman at the shelter said they were found behind a dumpster. Now they have a beautiful happy long life with their wonderful mommy and daddy. Make sure to shoop out the cat box every day cats do like to go to the bathroom in a dirty cat box. I have 3 cats currently in my home they make the best pets.

Cats really do do better in pairs, they can keep each other company and play. Also they're so much fun to watch lol my two are buddies and my husband and I love watching them chase each other around and play

Hey guys I stumbled upon your video & I love it! As a cat momma myself, every one of my kittos, crossed my path & have been with me ever since. I have 2 sets of 3 siblings, & 3 not related. The last baby I got this past July, & spent 4 hours rescuing her with just a youtube video of a momma cat meowing & my shirt I threw over her after sneaking up on her lol. Anyway I just wanted to share a little long life tip, as I just recently encountered some health issues of my own with some of my babies. Some of my kittos were having uti issues, & the main cause was too much dry food. While yes my kittos drank water I soon found out that cats only drink enough water to survive not to thrive. So I did some long research & found out that wet food or raw food is best. I chose to do wet food mixed with a little dry & some water. I mix it all in a mixing bowl, let the dry soak up some water & can food juices for about 30 mins & then give it to them. Their uti issues went away, their coats are softer, nice & shiny & they have soo much more energy now, plus their poop isn't as big & the smell was cut down by at least 80%, which as a momma of 9, is a huge difference. Cause it didn't matter what kind of litter I used (I swear I tried them all lol) when someone took a poop, the whole house could smell it lol. My babies are all under 10 years old & I've never realized how much the dry food was impacting their health. I personally buy my can food at Sam's Club, because its cheaper. But I just wanted to let you guys know so your babies don't run into any health issues as they get older. 🥰 Also they say your supposed to have 1 litter box per cat plus one extra, so since I have 9 I guess I'm supposed to have 10 boxes 😳 well I have the same litter boxes you guys have but the extra extra large version & I have 6 of them & that works perfectly for my kittos. I'm guessing they say that so each one has a place to go all the time, especially while cleaning one, but that has never been an issue. My kittos always want to use the litter box I am currently cleaning instead of the ones that are already clean 🤣. Oh & one more fun fact, Hydrogen Peroxide works wonders to get the smell of cat pee out. I also discovered while dealing with the uti symptoms, what works wonders to get the cat pee out of clothes, bedding & anything else that can be thrown in the washer. If you ever run into problems like that. I almost had to get half of a new wardrobe because dirty laundry baskets were used as litter boxes & only doing laundry once a week, let's just say the longer it soaks into the fibers of your clothes, bedding, etc the harder it is to get out😬. I even had to take precautions & use a waterproof zipper mattress protector, with a waterproof fitted sheet mattress protector & then my normal bedsheets because the uti issues were that bad.. & anytime an accident happened I would just take off my bedsheets along with the waterproof fitted one & put on new & wash the dirty. The zipper one protects the mattress incase some kitty nails made holes in the fitted one on top but so far I haven't had that issue once. Anyway after days, almost a week of straight research I finally found my solution lol I don't want to drop product names in here unless someone asks, I don't want to sound like a sales add or product pusher cause I'm not. I'm just a cat mom who loves her kittos & wanted to share some fun & healthy tips for your beautiful duo. 🥰 have a good day!!

The sad part about adopting a cat is all the cats we leave behind. I adopted a 6 year old calico female in September 2021 & was so upset to leave a beautiful solid grey 3 year old behind. She was adopted two weeks later so happy about that. My new buddy is very affectionate and even runs to me when I call her. Loves to be massaged, scratched and combed. Drools slightly when I scratch under her chin. Very playful. Glad you adopted two so they can entertain each other when you're not home.

Thank you for adopting I hope they have an awesome life. It's really tough to choose. Sometimes cats act reserved in a center but they come out of their shells once they are adopted. I have a special heart for the older cats they often get over looked. Kittens are only kittens for 8 months so they grow really fast

I keep watching kitty adoption videos in anticipation for my adopting a cat later this year! I was shooting for August but I’m not able to take a week off to help a kitty adjust until October. So videos like this are always exciting to watch! I’m going to be adopting a cat at a cat cafe in my area. My twin and I visited the place recently just to simply play with the cats and we had a wonderful time! Can’t wait for October to come! Good luck with your adorable gray sweeties! I had a gray polydactyl cat growing up and she was incredibly flexible! I miss her and the three other cats who entertained me growing up! RIP Shem, Cleo, Mimi, and Dottie Lick. Miss you forever. As others have suggested, make sure that you give them a good diet that benefits their obligate carnivore bodies and water fountains help to encourage them to drink enough water each day! I wish you the best of luck, because you will soon be surrendering your home to their whims and fancies!

should adopt as many as your place allows and love em all! And put update videos on them. Add some cat trees too, preferably by windows (cats will love to look out windows), and you can decorate it however you want (but it'll be torn up eventually)
