- Earlier this year, a seven-week-old chow chow mix puppy was found on the side of the highway with severe injuries. She came to Larimer Humane Society for care and treatment, and over a month later, found her new forever home. Her name is Miracle. Poor girl. I get upset when I see animal abuse because animals are really defenseless against humans, and God designed humanity to be rulers of earth and we've been entrusted to protect animals and weaker beings, but humans can be evil. We are capable of the most loving acts of kindness yet we start wars, abuse weaker beings, and there's tons of starving ppl in this world while there is plenty of food to go around. Humans are complex and paradoxical beings.
