- The bodies of three missing surfers were discovered in a popular fishing and camping cove in Ensenada, Mexican authorities confirmed.
The bodies were found at La Bocana, known as a popular destination for fishing and camping in Baja California, authorities confirmed to Televisa, CBS 8’s reporting partner in Tijuana.

For 20 years a friend use to venture down the baja coast to camp, fish, and surf. The last time he came back he said no more. He was accosted more than once, and if not for having a speargun and a buddy backing him up, it could have ended differently.

@braindamage70 Wrigley Field. I live in a nice, safe, small town in Georgia, but Wrigley Field is still on my bucket list.
Unfortunately they were very foolish to go into a remote area the way they did. This kind of thing happens often in Mexico. There was a previous case of two young Australia men who did the same thing (travelling in a vehicle in a remote area) and they were also killed and their vehicle was set on fire.

Even Mexican citizens I work with in construction don’t feel safe going back over the border. Why would ANYONE think traveling there is a good idea?

Australia has beautiful beaches which are all safe so why go to a place which is obviously riddled with crime. Our government should ban Mexico as unsafe destination to travel to for holidays. How these boys from their home in Perth WA were brutally murdered is so heart breaking. These boys who would have been all so friendly n kind like most Aussies were brutally mudered for what?
