It was the time after the Arab oil embargo and everyone was selling their muscle cars off cheap. I was offered a 440 Super Bird for $1800. It would probably be worth $180,000 today. At least. I bought a 1966 Impala Super Sport with the 427 four speed with a slipping clutch for $600.

So glad you are up and running. When I was a child we went to the dealership to get a new car. Dad walked right up to a lime green super bird. My slightly older brother and I were beside ourselves. My two sister's looking unamused. After speaking with a salesman. He and my Father walked over to a furry 3 black station wagon as out hearts sank. I can't begin to tell you all the wonderful places and things we did in that black beauty. Side note; A few years later my grandparents bought a road runner.
