I air dry it btw, look at my replies

The only way her routine makes sense is by doing excessive hair masks. Its pointless to do more than one since the follicles are saturated by absorbing the conditioner and first nourishing mask, any hair oils or pomadas after that are doing next to nothing. Brushing it shouldn't take more than 20 mins on her hair My hair is straight, thick and down to my butt. Even if i have oily scalp, i only need a 3 wash max with less shampoo each time. Conditioner, towel dry, detangler, hair oil brush it out. 1.5 hrs tops
Drying? My hair is THICK, but the strands are so very fine. IF I didn’t braid it, and lay it out on a towel, it might be dry in three hours. If I did braid it, the hair at the back of my neck would remain wet (not damp, WET) for up to 48 hours. Also, it’s HEAVY! I went super-short eight years ago, and haven’t wanted long hair again. (Okay, some days I do. That’s what wigs are for!)

One thing about mid length hair-very long hair: The back of your NECK gets SO HOT on warm Spring and Summer days. You have to lift your hair up and touch the back of your neck to your palm or something cold.

Wanted it shaved in the back and on the sides, but because a have a huge forehead, I wanted some length on the top and some side swiped bangs. I also wanted to be bleached platinum blonde. I showed dozens of pictures which she was comfortable with. I asked abt the bleach, she said since I had virgin hair that was naturally lighter, that again, no problem! I walked out of the salon that day with a military buzz cut and the few hairs I did have were bright orange 🤦♀️ I cried and cried and then cried some more. I was supposed to have a huge birthday party that weekend and this was on a Wednesday. I told my husband I couldn’t show my face in public for at least a year. Well I wish I had also wished for a billion dollars in that rant, because my birthday in a few days was March 13th 2020…so my party was in fact canceled, and no one would see my hair in person for about a year because the whole world closed down. For a long time my family joked that I started all of it with my birthday wishes. If only my wishes came true like that! Anyways, that’s my little story we joke about in my house. Comparatively, since shaving my head I almost always wear hoodies at home because my neck gets so cold!
When I got an undercut, it solved this issue. It's not for everyone but I've loved it so much
