I have to give this a try, I love my hair after being in a bun overnight, but it does become frizzy 😢 I haven't found any product that works for the frizz without having to do a long routine that I just won't bother doing most of the time..
My hair is wavy too and It doesn't matter how hard I try It just never gets the shape. Would love to see a video of you showing the products with routines and stuff like that
I wonder if maybe you are letting you hair dry too much before you apply product? As soon as I get out of the shower I ring my hair out and throw a tshirt over my hair and twist up my hair for about 15 mins. Any longer than 20 and my hair is too dry and the product I use ends up making my strands frizzy. Like when I scrunch in my curl cream my hair has dried too much so the little sections of waves aren’t thick like they would be if my hair was wet. Does that make sense? But when my hair is more wet and I scrunch in my curl cream, serum and oil (all separately) while my hair is more wet so the strands of waves are thicker and more clumped together, I notice that as my hair dries the waves are way more defined since the little sections of waves were bigger when I applied product. I hope this all made sense, otherwise I’m sorry for typing so much 😂😂😂 basically try doing your product routine but with a little more water in your hair than normal. And if this doesn’t help I’d reassess the products you’re using. I’m assuming you’re white from your pfp so I also assume your hair may be on the finer side. Unless of course you’re ginger and have hay for hair 😂 Courser hair definitely needs a thicker curl cream but lighter serums/oils. Also a nice heavy silicon conditioner would do wonders! If your hair is on the finer side (doesn’t matter how thick or thin/how much hair you have, just the actual strands of hair) then a lighter curl cream, no serum and plenty of light oils like olaplex or jojoba would do wonders! You can apply the oils while your hair is wet and then gently finger some thru once your hair is dry just to try and define some more pieces. Again I hope this helps and I apologize for typing a book 😂 good luck!!!
Ooh another thing, I constantly switch out my shampoo and conditioner based on what my hair seems to need. Some days I do Joico KPak reconstructor along with the Joico Moisture Masque, for bond reinforcement and hydration. Some days I do Matrix Megasleek and that line is LOADED with silicones my hair feels like glass after I use that shampoo and conditioner, but they are quite heavy so I don’t use them often since my hair is on the finer side. But when my hairs feels dry and a little unmanageable the Mega Sleek is 🤌🤌🤌 Then I will sometimes switch to Pattern for coily hair as it’s made for low porosity hair and it’s nice and light but very hydrating, my curls always looks fluffy and shiny after I use those products. Then my last two faves are the redken acidic bond reinforcement line as well as the L’Oréal acidic line. L’Oréal is owned by by redken so the formulas are essentially identical while L’Oréal is way more affordable (and it smells amazing) I switch between all these shampoos and conditioners based on what my hair needs depending on if it’s a little dry if it’s seems to be snapping off if it’s too greasy etc etc. I rarely changed my curly products out of the shower though, I use Joico zero heat crème for course hair since I do have very bleached hair I wanted something a bit heavier, then I switch between olaplex 6 & 9 depending on if I’m gonna be heat styling my hair or not. 6 for natural, 9 for heat styling, then I will use dreamcoat wow spray for heat styling, and always finish off before and after heat with some olaplex 7 and occasionally Sebastian dark oil if I do curls.
This is interesting because I’ve tried using lighter products on my low porosity hair but it never worked well. I tried shea moisture products and they saved my life. But everyone’s hair and scalp is unique.
@@imden.stake a piece of hair and put it in water. I believe if it absorbs and sinks, it’s high porosity. If it floats, it’s low (takes a long time to get wet) and if it’s in the middle (medium)
Honestly, I just trial and error. Some products are too heavy, some don't do anything. Some don't work if I put too much or too little. Even if I knew some exact measurement of the porosity of my hair, I'd still have to try out the products lol
@@imden.s curly hair - high porosity (You kinda have to have high porosity due to the bends of the hair follicles). straight hair - low porosity usuallyt pososity- pores in your hair follicles-like pores in your skin. So think logically. High porosity means more holes-which means water goes in your hair quickly but also leaves it even faster. Low porosity would be the opposite. Slow to take in, but also slow to escape. basically the difference between a pasta strainer vs a coffee filter. High porosity hair tends to have more damage in general because moisture retention is low. However hair COLOR is also a contributor to hair strength. Lighter hair colors will absorb more UV rays, reflect more light, etc and grow weaker more quickly. Another factor to consider is your follicle shape. Nearly every human on this planet has the same follicle shape though east asians have a tendency for a rarer follicle shape that lends to often stronger and thicker hair strands. then there's genetics and diet. how much oil does your scalp produce because that can either help or inhibit you. Oil may help keep that water moisture in if you have high porosity, but in low porosity hair, this can be a significant issue and you should wash it more often.

Unless of course you’re ginger and have hay for hair 😂
Courser hair definitely needs a thicker curl cream but lighter serums/oils.
But when my hairs feels dry and a little unmanageable the Mega Sleek is 🤌🤌🤌
Then I will sometimes switch to Pattern for coily hair as it’s made for low porosity hair and it’s nice and light but very hydrating, my curls always looks fluffy and shiny after I use those products.
6 for natural, 9 for heat styling, then I will use dreamcoat wow spray for heat styling, and always finish off before and after heat with some olaplex 7 and occasionally Sebastian dark oil if I do curls.
so pretty
Girl, I crave for your hair type 😊❤❤
I think this might be my hair!!!
This is interesting because I’ve tried using lighter products on my low porosity hair but it never worked well. I tried shea moisture products and they saved my life. But everyone’s hair and scalp is unique.
yes thats so interesting because it ruined my hair too. my hair was so rough and dry, it felt like sandpaper after using shea moisture.
How can you find out the porosity of your hair?
@@imden.stake a piece of hair and put it in water. I believe if it absorbs and sinks, it’s high porosity. If it floats, it’s low (takes a long time to get wet) and if it’s in the middle (medium)
Honestly, I just trial and error. Some products are too heavy, some don't do anything. Some don't work if I put too much or too little. Even if I knew some exact measurement of the porosity of my hair, I'd still have to try out the products lol
@@imden.s curly hair - high porosity (You kinda have to have high porosity due to the bends of the hair follicles).
straight hair - low porosity usuallyt
pososity- pores in your hair follicles-like pores in your skin.
Gorgeous!
