OMG, I'm bawling..this was so great for him...I grew up poor, but God blessed me and my family with lots of love and especially for the love of all kinds of music. My 30 year old son sent this to me, I'm about to show my 90 year old dad...my momma just passed away, she would have loved to see this. And my 7 year old grandson is learning how to play the banjo..so good music will live on💕💕💕
Chelle, I can tell you have a huge heart and was lucky to have had such a loving family. I also grew up in a poor family too, but we had a loving Mother.
For those that don't know, Trey went on to become a phenomenal guitar player and singer. My wife and I have seen him a few times, in our home town of Woodbridge NJ and also at the bluegrass festival. If he's ever in your neck of the woods doing a live show, go check it out! We've also seen Marty Stuart several times over the years and he and his band never disappoint.
I just discovered his channel where he plays amazing covers of Willie, Merle, and others. I searched for "Bloody Mary Morning" to figure out how to play the intro and his playing blew me away.
I grew up poor like Jimmy Brown but seeing Trey Hensley get his wish of playing on the Grand Ole Opry made me feel rich beyond belief . PS i was a 8 year old paper boy.
This kids rocks. All smiles and cool as can be on one of the biggest stages with a couple big time stars. I like when Marty looks over at Earl after Trey's first break.
Wow that young man is going to be big one day if he keeps those kind of people in his circle. In Hollywood ,Chicago,Memphis,Nashville, Detroit, New York if you dont surround yourself with people like this you will fail and fail and fail again it's all about who is in your circle and it's a cut throat business
I’ve always dreamed of meeting Trey. He’s my favorite guitar player I dream of playing like him one day. And finally I get great news he’s coming to my town 30 minutes from his home town.
You know there are things you get to find out in life that just bring it all back to full circle. I have seen you play a few times and never knew you made this kind of history. This will forever be in my favorites....!
I am so excited to know that you are my fan. I appreciate your l comments and support , your constant support has brought me this far over the years . Email me here for private conversation . (Rickyskaggsfoundation@gmail.com )
It sure isn't like ANY COUNTRY MUSIC I GREW UP WITH, and I'll BE 81 ON MAY 8TH!!! LOVED THIS YOUNG MAN'S PERGORMANCE, Z and am looking for more of his NOW MUSIC AND SINGING!!! GOD BLESS YOU!!
Hope there are many young treys out there. It so sad real country died in a few short years. But young people like trey may keep a little bit of it going for at least another generation
I see that Trey grew up to realize his dreams, a fantastic guitar player and singer as well young man. Love me some Blue Grass Music ..... Have subscribed to your channel on 3/10/22 @ 7:20am....

Well then just that song brings me back to my childhood that was one of the first songs my mother played for me I just love it good job Trey nanny Ruby
this is what you call the grand ole opry. id pay to see this. music today aint worth listening to. when old entertainers passed so did the music. this young man could draw more people than the so called stars of today.
It's great to see a young man that has good taste in music. I believe he will be true to himself and have a blast playing that 6string for a long enjoyable career even if he doesn't sell out a make a fortune. When we play for others, most of the time we're playing to satisfy ourselves and our own need to express our love for music. Gotta see more of this kid!
This is really touching to see three generations onstage at the Opry. Great playing everyone! A bit of trivia: Earl and Lester recorded this song more than once. Their original 1951 version (listed as Ranch Radio Song Of The Day #1759) has Earl's original great guitar part. They did another version in 1961 with Mother Maybelle, and Earl changed his guitar part just a little, still great. Onstage, Trey plays version 1 and Earl plays version 2.
I was sitting on the front row with my wife and my best friend and his wife and I thought I had died and gone to heaven that night simply because I love the Opry and many times I had to sit wherever we could get a seat
7 years later and he is still liking comments, that sir and your guitar and singing skills, that makes you a legend in my book
I don't usually enjoy country music but after this young man i may have to change my way of thinking.
😅
Two legends making a young man’s dream come true. This made my heart smile ❤️

I just researched Trey and will definitely look out for his schedule. Great guitarist.

That's what it's all about... all together in the musical family, helping, giving, appreciating each other! Love this...
Great! We need more Youngsters Playing and learning Real Country Music.

Then about 20 years later on September 28, 2023 Trey was named Guitarist of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association.

What a true honor to stand there on the Opry stage and play with Marty and the Master, Earl Scruggs
I love it
I love how as soon as Marty asked you if you'd mind if Earl came out to play, you couldn't say absolutely fast enough. Your eyes lit up.. So cool
Hello how are you doing?
I have the most respect for people that play any instrument!
This made me tear up even before he started singing! I hope he makes it big! Then they can make a movie out of it!

Search Trey Hensley. He’s grown and his playing is amazing.
And years later, he'll end up being one of the greatest and most creative guitarist ever heard by the human ear.
