Because just when many people thought that conor is the goat and and gonna be khabib's hardest opponent, Khabib just suprise them by mauling and beating their so called goat fighter one sidedly and made it look so easy that khabib can do all of his plan during the interview become reality flawlessly without conor giving him a hard time to do it. Khabib really shows that he is far higher level than conor is.
Over the years, I was a big Conor fan. And didn’t like Khabib much since he smashed Conor.
But now that I’m older and learned more about Khabib. That he wrests with bears since he was a child in the mountains, his relationship with his father and mother, what he did for Justin Gaethje etc.
I appreciate the warrior and martial artist that he is. Truly humble and very respectful. Even when he was on a rampage right after and jumped into the crowd after beating the sh*t out of Conor. He made sure he wouldn’t be anywhere near the elderly so they wouldn’t get hurt. He’s the kind of fighter Bruce Lee would be proud of.
He’s a way better role model than Conor.
Still, think both are awesome in their own ways (aside from the terrible sh*t Conor has done) Anyway, that’s just my 2cents

As a Conor fan , it was so sad to see that Conor is not fully focused on the hardest fight of his career. He was so distracted and tweaking all over the place . I was sure he’s gonna lose when I saw this presser. I even think he also knew that he’s gonna lose . It was just so personal and wanted to show that he’s not afraid so he took the fight . Well , this fight is hard stamp on his career. It is what it is .

Crazy how I was team Mcgregor so heavily back then. Watching this all these years later. I now love both and kind of find myself happy Khabib got it done. His calmness deserved reward.
