  • This is one solid 1964 Ford Galaxie, powered by a smooth running 390ci motor, it sails down the road with ease! The Interior looks to be original, and the underside has been complimented with newer brake lines, bushings and exhaust. Fly in and drive her home.

When I was a young man my first car was a 631/2 Ford Galaxie 500 XL with a 390 and C-6 tranny. If you want that radio to work in the car what you need to do is check to make sure the antennae did not come unplugged from the back of the radio under the dash. If it is still plugged in then you have a bad antennae and you need to replace it. It is very easy to do. The biggest problem with the radios not playing is either the antennae comes unplugged or is not grounded and faulty. The radios very seldom ever went out, it was either the antennae or the speakers not working. I guarantee you if you check the antennae and speakers the radio will play. I had two 64s also. A 64 with a 406 Interceptor plant with 4 speed Hurst in an XL. It was triple black from the factory with dual quads and an Isky cam with factory cast headers. It was a bad ass machine. I had another 64 with a P code police Interceptor in it with 3 dueces and an Isky cam in a regular Galaxie 500 but with power steering. I never could get my hands on an R code that I wanted but who knows I'm just 67, maybe I still have time.

This Galaxie 500 looks sweet in White paint & Red interior. Fenderskirts set it off big time

i remember this car from my childhood. I was born in the early '60s and seeing one, say, in the early '70s was nothing special. As a matter of fact, in the eyes of a kid, it looked like a real clunker (no offense). Then I spot one getting on the highway in the fall of 2019...all black and evil looking...especially when it signaled a turn and the entire big red tail light blinked. I tried catching up but it already took to the highway (695 in Maryland). Nothing I'd ever seen stood out on the road the way that car did! Freaking wicked!
One question: When re-fueling do you have to add in a can of lead supplement?

Is this car shorter then a 2 door 64 impala?

Can't you afford a pair of pants, a shirt with a collar and a haircut which you don't have to hide under a hat !
