- The First Battle of Geonosis, also referred to as the Battle of Geonosis or the Battle on Geonosis, was the first major battle fought in 22 BBY between the Confederacy of Independent Systems and the Galactic Republic on Geonosis, marking the beginning of the three-year Clone Wars. It would be the first major combat of the Grand Army of the Republic, as well as the first major battle the Jedi had fought in years.

Hey everyone! I know ive been MIA this past year and its because of multiple life events happening to me. Stopmotion animation requires your life to be stable since it requires so much focus and time. I had to make a ton of cuts for this stopmotion but I am still very proud of this final product! I can confidently say that this stopmotion is the best of my work. BUT I burned out a couple times creating this video, Im pretty sure I developed animation ocd when one tiny detail was off in the shot.
There are a couple acheivements I would like to point out in this stopmotion:
-I learned how to CGI 3d models and blend them into a scene. I did all the lighting on that venator!
-I was able to simulate atmospheric smoke and color grade it to Geonosis.
-Every shot flows together and transitions, I had to be mindful of what I was shooting. A lot of scenes did not make the cut because they were too jarring!
-The amount of characters on the screen was intense! It took even more time to animate the vehicles.
-There is more but I wont bore you with those details.

Love your work and good to see you back. I completely understand how life can make it difficult to consistently make stop motion animations so I am really happy to see you completed this one. Keep up the great work 🤩

@@trieuackerman9372 A lot of things! There isnt a single Republic gunship which is a shame, no techno union ships, and also I wanted to do a battle in the caverns. I had a ton of ideas but no time lol I will definitely revisit geonosis for Phase 2 troopers! Custom blasters are from CAC

What I saw as a kid:

Our imaginations as a kid are wild I remember having many battles this vivid and intense (had like probably 12 clones and 20 droids) remember when I would reuse my dead guys as reinforcements (picked them back up, pretended that there like 10 bodies on the ground even tho I had 3 lego figs there and just kept reusing and making like 20-30 clones fight my droids)

Ah yes the Battlefront 2 campaign. Unfortunately I am stuck on yavin IV and can't progress
The clones spawning in is fkn incredible
And the entering of the troop transport as well too.
I like how there's references to both Battlefront 2 games, with clones being spawned from command posts and snipers wearing binoculars on their helmet.
I don't usually watch stopmotions anymore, but I have to say this is top-notch stuff

I liked how the you combined BF2 (classic) with the spawning and Lego Star Wars 3 Clone Wars, by making the Super Battle Droids hard to kill for normal clones.

Star wars battlefront 1 and 2 vibes fr. I remember in the 2 version if you lose the walker its game over for the clones. Battlefront 1 was the easiest one to win in but still hard to do so. Battlefront 2 was definitely hard tho. This animation does fit more with the star wars battlefront 1 map more than the 2

This feels like the BF1 (2004) Geonosis map, the Republic Command Centre being why, brings me back to when I was 7 years old playing the original BF1 and BF2 as often as I can, and I still love those games. God this makes me smile, keep up the great work.
Okay, wait. This is actually incredible. Usually, when I see a video like this on my FYP (like big battles and stuff), I skip over it because they're usually pretty mid and low FPS. That was some impressive work! The little details like the medic clone giving some bacta to the injured clone and the clone teleporting to enter the tank really makes it feel like the old battlefront 2 game.

Thank you! To add depth, I had a ton of modular terrain pieces and small hills. The background is a big sheet of orange paper lol.
