Music:
Gustav Holst - The Planets
Based on Star Wars by George Lucas - Krátké a kreslené filmy
If you want to check out the version with John Williams music it is unlisted in the "LFP Animations" playlist on my channel. Due to copyright I am keeping Holst as the main soundtrack for the public version as it avoids copyright infringement. Thanks!
Edit: John Williams version is now public on my channel.
If Holst was good enough for John Williams, he’s good enough for us.
i love classical music, so it doesnt bother me! 😁😁
What our parents saw when we were children: Young kid is making weird sounds with LEGO.
What we saw when we were children:
I like how Tarkin said “the Jedi will be fine” because it can be ambiguously interpreted
He’s seen what the Jedi are capable of, knowing they’ve survived a lot of crazy stuff, so he likely knows they can survive an attack on the ship
Or, he genuinely doesn’t care about whether or not the Jedi can survive, so he says “they’ll be fine” as a hand-wave. “If they survive, they survive. If they don’t, they don’t.”
Or he knew about the Chancellor being on board and being a Sith, and meant to say, that their actions are going to save the Jedi Order not just some individual Jedi. He's playing 5d Chess.
He thought highly of anakin so he knew theyd be fine.
@@MrMultiRageTarkin wasn't a Sith puppet he unironically was a supporter of a militarist centralized galaxy, Palpatine didn't have to do any Sith mind tricks on him he wanted this shit ideologically
The amount of work that must have been put into this is absolute insanity! I tipped my hat to you, sir. For the Republic!
redditor hat
As a kid, you feel for the republic.
As an adult, you feel for the CIS
@@koharumi1 CIS as a whole, sometimes I feel bad for them. But CIS vs the Clone’s story, I’m going with the Clones every time
For The Federation!
@@koharumi1 as senior we go for the Empire bitch, all hail the empire
Tarkin speaking like someone who knows he can easily succeed the chancellor if anything bad happens to him…
Nah, it's all part of Palpatine's plan. Everything was. The whole battle, the Grievous Ship attack, was all to test Anakin. To see if he was fit to replace Dooku as his apprentice.
Republic Officer: The Chancellor was aboard that ship.
Tarkin, who discussed this plan with the Chancellor that morning: And very likely still is. I am heading down to the surface to assume command of the rescue operations immediately, Captain.
@@MikeCordeiro666 In Legends, Palpatine apparently ordered Grievous to begin the attack, because the Jedi were investigating his building at the Works (the one where Palpatine meets with Dooku at the end of Episode 2 and also in Tales of Jedi, where Dooku kills Yaddle), which was full of Sith artifacts and other incriminating items. So the whole battle was a huge distraction in addition that Palpatine saw an opportunity to test Anakin as well. In the Episode 3 novel, the Jedi still apparently manage to find some kind of tunnel leading to Palpatine's private apartment, which caused the Jedi to suspect that one of Palpatine's inner circle must be Sidius. Windu suspected that Palpatine can't be him, as he was already pretty much controlling the Republic, though he suspected that Palpatine was merely a puppet.

Tarkin couldn't succeed the Chancellor. A military coup wouldn't work. The vice chair (mas amadedda who I'm sure was on the Sith Plan) would become Chancellor then. The Senate was still in control even if it was full of Palpatine supporters.
the shot at 3:08 is just something special, it looks flawless. fantastic job with the whole thing
This is a fantastic brickfilm! The CGI was incredible! It was really great to see a different perspective from the Battle of Coruscant.
The blend of CGI and stop motion is incredible! I can’t imagine how long this would have taken
It never occurred to me before that the republic took town general Grevious' ship despite them knowing the Chancellor was being held captive on there, not to mention two Jedi generals. I guess it could have been self-defense but they really unloaded on them lol, they had to have known!
Nice animation, the 3D renders look really nice, a lot going on in each shot.
If it was Tarkins ship that fired on it, then it was very much on purpose. He had his own Grand Design and hated the Jedi and current order which is why the Empire worked out for him so well.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the chancellor made the order
In the Episode 3 novel, Needa (yes the same guy who Vader choked in Episode 5), the captain of that Venator, was hailing Grievous, who told him that Palpatine supposedly was on the ship, but Needa didn't believe it, so he gave Grievous 10 minutes to prove that he isn't talking bs. Palpatine already had escaped at that point and I'm pretty sure Grievous at that moment figured out Dooku had died as well, so he basically cut the call short and Needa then opened fire on the ship.
@@_MaZTeR_apology accepted, Captain Needa.
@@_MaZTeR_ it's been more than 6 years since I've read that but I remember it was something like that
Tarkin really loves firing super weapons. 😂 He just can’t help himself. “You may fire when ready.”
I really like that some minifigs used in this are from 2005, when EP III and its sets were originally released!
Dude, if I’m being honest, this is the absolute best recreation I have ever seen on the topic of the battle of coruscant. The effects, the CGI was just on point and the extra scenes were honestly needed for that little bit of extra.
I love the holst's planets Mars music! Great fit, and definitely inspired the John Williams score.
Honestly the opening made me think about something new, how many ships crashed into the planet?? Like how much collateral was there truly
Probably the best one yet! I love how it took place in episode three.we should see more of this in the future.
Fire for maximum effort is such a great line.
That was beautiful.
I feel like I'm about to play Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga Remake, great work !
This was amazing, I loved the slow falling pieces of lego that came from the republic ship in the beginning
First Clone Wars Anakin Vs. Obi-Wan and now a Battle of Coruscant short film? In lego animation. Awesome. Is this a mixture of Stopmotion and blender?
Yep. Stop motion characters, blender for the space battle
@@LFPAnimations nice! Very creative. Reminds of the Darth Plaguies Stopmotion that is both blender and real stopmotion made by brilliant German star wars animators.
This is absolutely Bricktastic!
Anakin: This is where the fun begins!
It's really beautiful work right here
Amazing work. The animation is impeccable and its intervention with the blender scenes is so well executed.
I would work for this guy.
The first minute invokes such a feeling. It’s so unequivocally Star Wars.
Love the addition of mars by holsts
2:10 just wowed me like it did the first time i watched the movie. Well done mate. Also the music was a great choice, as apparently John Williams was inspired be Holst when writing music for Star Wars.
Also quick question, are the Venators mocs or real sets?
Im glad you enjoyed it. All the big ships are MOCs and you can see the credits for the creators in the description or at the end of the video! Used with permission.
This is truly amazing!!!! Mars bringer of war was a great choice for the music 😆
This is one of the most impressive Lego animation I have seen. Good work!
This is absolutely unreal. The quality and detail is unbelievable. I was sure some of the scenes were actual stop motion. Great work!
i literally just finished building the ucs venator and i pull up youtube and this is right here. this is so cool!
A perfect way to end the year
Amazing and good song choice
this the type of shit i loved on youtube when i was a kid. This is awesome af. I thought you wouldve just done a remake of the intro scene with the jedi but i love that youve added much more contextual, additional clips. This is so sick.
Edit: halfway through watching i also clocked the soundtrack. Using Mars instead is cool. It actually fits star wars so well. John Williams the goat of soundtracks, but damn he basically ripped it straight from Holst lmaoooo
Fantastic job very smooth. Breath taking wide shots.
Hearing Gustav Holst with this makes me realize what George Lucas pictured in his mind before John Williams came along....
This was an amazing watch! The CGI and stop-motion elements went together perfectly!
Amazing
10 out of 10
Bro this is absolutely insane. Incredible work
good work tarkin good work, you nearly saved the republic without knowing it
This was really nicely done. Throughout the video, I felt like I was sitting in an actual movie theatre watching a lego version of Revenge of the Sith! Have a like good sir!
I want to say, I LOVE that you used The Planets which inspired John William's Star Wars scores!
Fantastic work
This is amazing just subscribed!
Dang this is some epic shit right here, well done and keep up the good work!
The part where the ships fly close up to the venator is insane
MAN this is my childhood into a video, ROTS and stop motion lego mixed with animation. Wow. Thank you for this, instant sub, I really hope you continue this passion project and that it turns into a career for you.
Nice usage of The Planets
Indeed flawless work. Doing great animation
If this wasn't blender, you're actually insane.
A literal crazy person, forreal.
The production value of this film was REALLY great in terms of visual polish. Everything CGI felt really grounded, and it was composited very well. I feel like it DEFINITELY could have benefited from some more defined sound design. Felt like it could have carried more intensity just like the original battle of coruscant, and a few of the sfx choices puzzled me. CGI elements are a 10/10. Practical elements are a 5/10. Sound elements are a 6/10
Amazing! Good job!
I love the debris from a damaged ship was random lego bricks tumbling in space.
I loved every second of this film and the mix of lego blender and stop motion made it even better
How Dope would it be if we had Lego remakes of all the 3 trilogies?!?
3:24 the Lego breaking sound got a good chuckle out of me.
Great work.
Great job❤
Am i watching my 12 year old me´s Dreams right now ? What an awsome Work People !!
The definition of underrated
This was the most satisfying level in the original lego Star Wars game
NGL I was originally going to make a snarky comment, but holy hell you blew me away with the amount of care and raw talent you had putting this together. Brave sir, bravo! You are bound for many great things in the future, and hopefully get funds for even more amazing pieces of dedication and skill!
Saturn by Holst was an inspired musical choice. Great job!
I love the use of the older clone helmets
It was nice to see Tarkin’s pov of the battle
wow! Amazing renders.
Damn, not only do get to see the Lego Battle of Coruscant, we even get an interesting character twist in the end. If it also had the original music it would be perfect :D
"Not to worry, we are still flying half a ship."
Great job! The mix of stop motion animation and computer graphics is simply amazing, and the music makes you revisit it over and over again! The author is a real maestro!
No way...
With more scene, this battle look more amazing to watch 👍
very very impressive
Impressive. I expected the moc ups to be fantastic but honestly this was also well directed and written, thats what really brings this together nicely. Seeing a ship im used to seeing in space slowly sink towards the city like that really put everything to scale in a tangible way. Having everyone just calmy watch it happen while not being able to do anything really puts you in their shoes and I forget im watching a lego film at all for a moment. Its good stuff
Looks freakin spectacular!!! You’ve earned yourself a new sub
This is top-tier quality! Amazing job, LFP!!
Wow, this is incredible!
Excellent choice of music. It fits the scene like they were made for each other!
Excellent use of Saturn, Uranus, Mars and Venus! Excellent production!
I thought, oh I wonder if this will twist from the original storyline, and it did. Bravo on this work.
Oooh man the idea that someone high in the Republic used the opportunity to attack the Invisible Hand while Palpatine was on it because he KNEW Chef’s Kiss
This is so good. one of the best animations I've seen in a while
Wow this is the GOAL! Absolutely stellar Lego Filming. I think in canon it was some random Admiral who broadsided the Invisible Hand but making Tarkin do it is such a Tarkin thing to do.😅😂🤣
That’s amazing that you used the themes from the Planets for music. I heard Saturn, Mars and Venus. Very well done, this is better than a lot of modern movies.
THIS IS SO SICK!!! Huuuuge props man for all the work and all the hours that must have gone into this but it’s incredible and your hard work is definitely paying off
Too good 👏 deserves way more recognition!
This looks truely incredible. Everything looks so well made and cared for
The stud just attaching at 2:44 is a brilliant touch
More of this!!! I absolutely support this project, what an amazing recreation!!!
Wonderful use of a nearly 107 year old composition. Most times it's used, Mars: The Bringer of War is the main theme. Here, it's Saturn: The Bringer of Old Age, Jupiter of Jolility really stand out.
I absolutely LOVE the extra scenes! I wish they were actually in episode 3!
my man with Gustav Holst "The Planets"! A man of class
fun to watch with John William's score. Thanks! Great job!
Great use of Mars, The Bringer of War! Fantastic animation as well!
The venator crash cene is so nice, I love it ❤️💛
Really on point us8ng Holst's Mars from Symphony of Planets💯💯💯
Great job!
Awesome job
One of the best stop motions I’ve ever seen 🎉
Star Wars truly belongs to the fans!
This is great! I love Tarkin's "damn that's too bad, they should have considered that before I broadsided the hell out of them" energy
Honestly brilliant, all the time and energy paid off!
