Layers definitely looks good on thick hair but when you have to grow them back it takes ages literally as it really slow downs your hair growing process. Plenty of years back when layers hit the market trend in India I only used to get layers done on my hair and I genuinely want to say through my personal experience those who want to style it's great but then be ready for the cons too.

Oil your hair regularly (scalp and ends) Wash your hair often (don't try hair training) Use clarifying rinse (eg- acv rinse) Moisturize your ends properly Take dietary supplements Don't use too many products, dyes and heat on your hair (try overnight hairstyles) Wash hair with lukewarm or cool water Use a shampoo brush if needed These are some tips that helped me grow my hair faster!
