Same! I would never spend more than 30min (once in a blue moon) doing my own hair. When I have time I do the hairstyles people claim to do in a rush 😂 I guess we all live very different lives 😅
This is exactly how I did it back in the 80s. Only difference is we would tease the top and our bangs! I have seen some using Velcro rollers but hot rollers are the best.
Another 80's girl here! Most hair styles of those days were on steroids! Bigger was better. My hair is stick straight & refused to hold a curl. Only way to make it work was to get a perm. Then hot rollers could create nice curls. We still had to tease at the roots & use half a can of hair spray to hold it in place. Both ladies in this video have gorgeous, thick, bouncy, shinny hair! Thank you for sharing!
I’ve been using hot rollers for 30 years and they are gentle on your hair and you can curl your hair in minutes! You can get that big bouncy 1990s hair less than 10 minutes ❤👱🏼♀️
Ya'll were taught how to care for your hair? My mom just killed my waves/curls and brushed the hair out of my tangled, frizzy hair. Now I keep it middle length to short and do like 7 steps to keep my hair alive lol
This is my go to style for special occasions! I learned it from my mother ages ago. I have type 3 curly hair that is about an inch under my bra strap when straight and I rarely flat iron, for reference and this style is the only one that battles frizz and humidity for me. To avoid the crimp, loosely tie the high pony with a ribbon and also use flexi rod curlers and set it overnight with a bit of spray if your hair doesn’t hold a curl. That will make it last longer. Otherwise she did a beautiful job and looks fabulous! Edit: in case anyone was wondering, this style looks great on shorter hair too! Think collarbone length. Just on shorter hair use less rollers so you don’t look like orphan Annie lol.
Be thankful you have that gorgeous hair so many women are thinning on top. I finally got my gorgeous curls after taking a probiotic my hair stopped falling out. I can’t wait to straighten it again and have lush hair again!!
There is not a lot of evidence that supports this. Probiotics and hair growth don't have a strong connection, as per studies. Deficiency in vitamin D, iron, biotin, etc. are more directly correlated to your hair's condition and growth. It's best to conduct a blood test to figure out which areas you're lacking in and take supplements accordingly to fix the issue! Taking supplements you don't need has a reverse effect: does a lot of harm than good. So don't follow someone's suggestions blindly and instead figure out what your individual body needs based on actual data!!
My hair is extremely fine as well. When I wear it straight it seems a little limp. Something that is helping me is I have started oiling my hair once a week. Oiling the scalp and then I sleep with the oil on my hair then wash it out the next morning, and I can tell a huge difference in the volume and thickness of my hair.
@@lovejones8041i wouldn't recommend sleeping with oils on your scalp. It can clog pores and lead to hair kids because the scalp can't breathe. Put it on right after you get home from work or on a day when you're just lounging round the house and wash it out after a few hours. Oil can stay on your ends longer but should not be on the scalp for longer than 4-5hrs (especially if you have thin hair)
Try black strap molasses, buy like a cheap shampoo and put two tablespoons in each bottle mix it well and use it . And try once a day orally Could be a copper deficiency I have Lot of hair but I’m still going to try it out as well
I thought this was a regular thing, as I use to do this back in 96-97 when they use to sell them rollers in a box that you would plug in and get them hot and then put on your hair. When I was in a hurry I would put my hair in a ponytail, put the rollers on and then let my hair down when they cooled down. Fabulously curly, volume at 💯 and hair looking flawless 😅 I was just a teen back then.
YES!!! Finally someone who is honest about having to deal with the crinkle from the high ponytail. I see video like this all the time and they act like the crinkle doesn’t even exist.
For years I was teased and felt bad that my hair was so poofy and voluminous. People called me “mop” (no joke). My hair adores mousse too, but I didn’t dare. The shame made me crave the flat iron and find ways to flatten every wave down till my hair was mad. Now that I’m finally embracing my natural wave, flips and volume, I’m so beyond pleased to see big hair being embraced!💗
I do this with the wand, high ponytail and then curl the hair adding hair spray to each strand. After I let all the hair cooled and take out ponytail and flip my head up and down. Looks amazing 👍 and curls held shape for another day😊
Well...that only works if you have thick hair, as in each individual strand is thick. If I put my hair in a ponytail, I'd have a huge bump in my hair from the ponytail that won't go away.
I do the same thing, but use the GHD original straightener to curl the pony hair handfuls. It's fast and doesn't burn my ends like the rollers would. It's not as big of a blowout since the straightner used is a smaller "barrel" if you will. But it gives gorgeous curls. The GHD will give any girl with pin straight hair curls that will last all day. Mine is naturally curly but I have many straight haired friends say the GHD works wonders for their hair as it gives them curls that hold throughout the day. ♡

What’s the name of the hot rollers company?
I love our generation "discovering" the exact way my grandma has done her hair for 30+ years from influencers 😂❤❤
61 here, yes I've been doing this forever ❤
And calling it rich girl lol
Exactly!😂😂😂😂
It's hilarious 😂. My mom did my hair this way and I've maintained doing it that way. I'm almost 40.
Ok but no one passed this down to me so now i have to learn it from random people on the internet
I am loving that the Farrah Fawcett hair is back! Yes, boys and girls, we did this throughout the 70s and mid-80s.
I love the Farrah Fawcett hair!!!!!
100%
FARAH FAWCETT HAIRSTYLE🔛🔝🔥‼️
Facts
And it's always been so beautiful!!! The volume in my aunt's and uncles hair in old photos has always captivated me!
The curls are so good because both these women have thick hair and nice layers. These 2 things will make a big difference.
Exactly 💯 this method does not work if you have poker straight long hair with no layers.... trust me I've tried 😭
To be fair, you already have gorgeous hair. Thick, shiny, beautiful!
That’s what I was thinking
Exactly!
Yep her hair is insane. I'm guessing her ethnicity is Asian and they have beautiful hair 😢
@@moorenicola6264Yes, we do.
yupp thats that asian hair
when i say im late, i have 15 seconds to do my hair😭
but this looks great💙

Run a brush through once on each side and once in the back and then zoom out the door hahahaha
This is exactly how I did it back in the 80s. Only difference is we would tease the top and our bangs! I have seen some using Velcro rollers but hot rollers are the best.
It seems like no matter how many hair tools i use the best look is always from rollers/curlers!

I love that everything old is new again. I used to do whom I hear like this year ago.
Looks pretty
Try twenty years ago
I love her black shiny healthy hair.

I don’t really know what I’m looking for can you recommend any hot rollers pls
I put my hair up like this every night & it looks so good in the morning!
With hot rollers or other tool?

Commenting in case she tells us how she does it
👍
f
Lol the new obsession is the old way our boomer and gen X parents taught us how to do curls this is hilarious and beautiful 😂🥰❤️
Then why does gen x have such dead boring hair
Yea this is not a new thing, or a hack or anything really. Girl curled her hair with rollers. 😂
@isobel64 ...Because they are much older now and have lives and jobs.
@isobel64 the heck you on about child, 80s and 90s hair was anything but dead. Volume for days!!! Especially 90s Cindy Crawford

I have type 2b-c curls and wondering how I can do this hairstyle. Do you do this with wet or dry hair?
Ive been doing this since 1993 with those old school Conair rollers.. when I was in highschool...Saves so much time..

Be thankful 😂 Why? It’s just genetics.
Probiotics don't do anything drastic like that
No matter what I do my hair will never turn out that way. My hair is way too thin..you look fabulous!

It also helps that you are insanely beautiful!
How does her looks help the hairstyle come out right?
Yours came out even better
Your eyes are absolutely stunning lady! ❤...like your results too.
She looks like a princess. Totally gorgeous. Good job.
Try this by using no pony just flip head roll all rollers backwards. Same but better effect with no kinks. Hairstylist here
@lizcofano3000 ty! I had this exact question. I grew up rolling my hair in kindness 20 roller set 😂spiky rollers with no ponytail.
😮😍😍😍 CAN WE TALK ABOUT WHAT A GODDESS THIS GIRL IS?? 😩 Omg so gorgeous 🔥🔥🔥
Your hair is to live for. It's so gorgeous.

Rich girl blowout 😅 The headlines are just getting better and better lately
Your hair is so healthy and shiny! Beautiful 😍
It came out so beautiful!!🫂🫂🫂💙
Love the blonde hair and your hair. Shines and moves beautifully
The layers in your cut really help too! Your hair is stunning!
YES!!! Finally someone who is honest about having to deal with the crinkle from the high ponytail. I see video like this all the time and they act like the crinkle doesn’t even exist.
Incidentally, I did this today. Inadvertently. I flexi-rodded my ends while I had my hair in a ponytail and when I took it down I was like whoa!
Lolol. When I first saw you i thought "Wow. Nicole Sherzinger looks great."
You kind of look like kylie jenner especially when you were putting the rollers in. So pretty ✨
So beautiful, ladies with thick hair are sooo blessed I wish I have thick hair 😢
Yours turned out much better than the inspo!!
Step one. Have that much hair :*)
Love this. Relatively straightforward too
I LOVE how prominent your eyes are omg 😭💖 I never see enough people with big eyes like mine
90s style babe! Coming back
i just roll my hair into a bun and sleep w/ a silk scrunchie around it,,,curls look exactly the same when i wake up minus all the effort lol
This is literally how our moms do their hair LMAO
She’s so pretty omg lol
you can also keep it as a ponytail it looks so cute and pretty like that ❤❤
70s gals still love their hot rollers! 😊

Ahaha. Hilarious. Been styling my hair like this since the 60’s. Actually can use soup cans, OJ cans , socks or empty toilet paper rolls
I use these all the time!!!! Holy grail🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Looks like Beyonce's beautiful blonde tresses. It lights up the room! Gorgeous!
“If you’re in a hurry, make sure you try this (combined) 45 minute process.”
Love the rollers with this clip
Can I just say, what I wouldn't give to look like this!!!! Gorgeous
It's the layered cut that gives that rich girl look
Use a ponytail holder that is meant to not leave any marks. They have weird looking ones the work well for that. They are spiraling 🌀 kinda
I do this with the wand, high ponytail and then curl the hair adding hair spray to each strand. After I let all the hair cooled and take out ponytail and flip my head up and down. Looks amazing 👍 and curls held shape for another day😊

I was going to ask about the head tie crimps too!

As a 53 year old woman, we’ve known that nothing works better than hot rollers. Period.

This looks like when I can actually try as my hair is so long my arms get exhausted trying to curl it before it's finished.
Most definitely trying this on ny wigs, thank you. ❤
Omg darling it came out so great!!!
Did you heat up the hot rollers or just use them at room temp? Just curious since you didn't specify. Thanks! ♥ Looks gorgeous
I didn’t get that part either
Heat them up
Lordy your hair is a DREAM. 😮

Hot rollers are better than Velcro anyway bc the heat makes the curl last longer and you’re not dealing with snagging when you try to get them out
Do u have a broke girl blowout 😂😂
Yes, please. I hate people saying rich girl like wtf
Two heads of incredible hair here!
You are so pretty!!!
