I would love to see some examples of someone using a blow dry brush on their own hair.
I feel very awkward and have a hard time keeping the dry section separate from the wet.

Split your hair down the middle and then into quadrants. Then clip off the sections your not working on. Then pin the dry sections and continue. Hope that helps.

Your hair routine has helped me go 4 days between washes AND I use a blow dry brush to dry. Olaplex 3 before shower once a week, Redken extreme lengths shampoo and hair mask, purology color extend leave in, Redken big blowout cream, and olaplex 7 to oil my ends and my hair has never been healthier or more beautiful. I’ve even ditched my flat iron because I don’t need it anymore.🎉🎉🎉

I would also add that when using a blow dryer brush you start at the roots first. They take longer to dry so hitting them first will make it easier to dry the lengths of the hair evenly without overheating. Then move to the mids, and then the ends, as the ends are more porous and dry faster. This also keeps you from drying already dry areas over and over.

I’ve been getting my hair done professionally since 1997. I’ve watched how the stylist does it for many years. I flip my hair upside down, focusing on the roots. Then I section it and use a round brush. Great results , especially if you use a heat protectant. Olivia Garden or a boar bristle brush are what I’ve found to be the best brushes

    • @tigerheart3579
      @tigerheart3579 Před 4 měsíci

Love boar bristle paddle brush to add volume after I use my blow dry brush. I flip my head over, brush underneath all around, then brush the top into my style and bam instant volume and a little bend around my face. I have long layers in the back and face frame in the front. I have fine hair and this lasts my three or four days. If you train your hair to only be washed a few times a week it produces less oil. I grew up in the 70 and washed my hair once a week and did an overnight set on sponge rollers. I had rocking bouncy curls all week. The trick is to not touch your hair.

Hi Chris, after following your advice for shampoo and styling products, I find that I can go 4 or 5 days in between washings. Thank you for all the great info. As for blow dry brushes, I use one when I travel. My shoulder length, fine hair sometimes gets kinked overnight despite tying it up and using a satin pillowcase. I find that using the cool setting really helps get the kink out and refresh the style without heat. I think this may only work for fine hair. I don’t have to do this all the time, just every once in a while. Also, I find that using the cool setting as the very last step in drying each section, really seals the style. Thanks again for all the great advice videos.

Thank you so much for your videos! They ve helped me a lot already.
Can you please say something about humidity? After blowdrying wavy or curly hair doesn't stay in shape for long. It s very frustrating. Since you re in Florida I guess you have some experience with it. Thank you!🍀

I wash my hair once a week. My hair is mid-back in length and thick/coarse.
I took your quiz and got the recommended products. And I have to say I can see a difference.

I have very thin long hair. What do I do if I have already slightly damaged my hair from a blow dry brush? I just started using Redken hair products which seems to have helped. Is there anything else I should be doing? Your videos have changed my life. Thank you for all of the knowledge.

Your videos are life savers! I have curly hair and was considering buying a blow drying brush, but if it shouldnt be used on dry hair, how does one touch up or refreshes their hair in the morning if their hair is curly and curls back easily?

Hi!!! I am not sure if you talked about this before
But I recently purchased a biolage shampoo and conditioner and I was wondering if you can make a video of a bunch of biolage products like you did with redkin? 🥰

    Hi Chris,
On your volume video you talked about using big blow out on the scalp. In this scenario are we using what's left over on our hands or are we putting more in
    (How much?)
Please do a head to head to head video on bigblowout vs Redken sky-high (?) Vs Kendra
Love to actually see the difference on fine hair
    Thanks 👍🏻

A hair stylist in my area used tresemme to wash hair and sold it. I used to use it, and my hair was not ooh la la. I had to wash it daily. Quality shampoo is now a must for me. I use a sleepy tie after my blowout style, and dry shampoo on day 3 and my style lasts.

Chris, I am pleading with you yet again please please please help us short haired ladies! Despite having a proper shampoo (Olaplex, Aveda, and pureology) along with the corresponding conditioners and masks and using them diligently. I use a blow dry cream and a heat protectant when I’m using a straightener, and despite all that I cannot avoid washing and then drying my hair every time I need to go out and that can be every day. there is no way that my hair holds its style after I wake up in the morning, so I need your help! 🤷🥹Please please please could you provide a tutorial for short hair so that I can stop ruining my hair, like all the ladies with long hair you have helped so fantastically?! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻♥️♥️

Volume comes from the roots. Thank you for that hint!
Because I was realizing, that If I drink Not enough a day or are in bad mood or both, the hair shows it with less volume and so hanging hair, like the same if one forgets to watering the plants.
Our hair is like a mirror ...
