  • Kind of an unboxing, review of and discussion on the ETA-powered Tudor Black Bay burgundy. What do you think? A future collectible?

Nice video. I prefer these smiley black bays to the versions with the in-house movement , apart from the bb58 range. The smileys will always be something a bit more special which like you say could make it a collectible. I think the black bezel one will be more collectible as they are already appreciating

Indeed, the Noir variant will be more desirable and appears to be rarer. I read in a forum sometime back that its of a much shorter production run compared to the burgundy and blue variants.

@@ronin7106 I think the black one was only produced for four or six months or so. I think I mentioned it in the last part of the video. Thank you for your comment!

I bought this same watch recently. it is my first luxury watch, which i paid 3k for. it's a gorgeous piece, but for whatever reason i'm not in love with it. i'm considering returning it, but am also considering holding on to it as it seems the value is steadily appreciating. maybe in time I'd love it more... it certainly is a special piece. anyway, great video... watching makes it a bit harder to let it go

I totally understand what you mean because I experienced just the same. I had to force myself wearing it. This is why I‘ve sold it recently. And I know I made the video but I also realized that Tudor isn’t Rolex, so holding on to this piece just for price-increase-reasons isn’t worth it. Thank you very much for your comment!

Awesome Tudor Smiley. I have the same smiley and is a keeper. Just curious, how does it compare with the Sinn 903 in your experience in terms of size when worn on the wrist. They are almost the same size in diameter. However, the Sinn 903 is shorter L2L at 48mm.
Hows the performance of your smiley efficiency wise? Thanks.
Just a hunch, I suspect the Chrono bracelet might work on the smiley.

The Sinn and the Tudor wear quiet similar in terms of size. Even though the Sinn has a shorter L2L it sits higher on the wrist what makes it feel larger than the L2L would suggests
The performance is outstanding: max. 2 seconds fast per day.
The Chrono bracelet should fit but I wasn’t able to get this on the Red. Haven’t seen an ETA with the new bracelet yet but the In-house with the old bracelet. But in the end I think the Red/burgundy looks best on a strap or nato although the inside between the lugs isn’t polished, which is a shame.
