Dave, next fantastic watch, respekt. This tudor is strong position in my private ranking divers watch in colection.
I have the black variant on leather strap, gets more wrist time than my gmt chrono panda and royal 41 day date…amazing watch total class. Something special about the Heritage model - often overlooked because of the height of the watch, I think it’s perfect even for my smaller 6.5” wrist. Looks great with jeans and T shirt and slips under the cuff when I’m suited and booted…
I also have the black 41 heritage . Mines on the bracelet. Tudor designs some class watches. 👍
If I were to make a video review of this watch, it would be an exact copy of your video.. haha, I couldn’t agree more with each and every aspect and detail you presented.
I was on waiting list for the bracelet version, but it arrived with the aged leather strap. And honestly, I couldn’t be happier. As soon as I tried it on, I couldn’t take it off my wrist. Good thing it came with this strap and not the bracelet!!
Couldn’t agree more with you in each and every aspect: stunning and beautiful watch and buckle, prefer in-house movement vs ETA (smiley & rose), thickness is not a problem at all for me, on the contrary, it’s the look of the watch, the exclusive burgundy color bezel, the aged leather strap with burgundy bezel combination, the buckle is incredible, no problem with case back, definitely NOT a poor man’s Rolex, beautiful dial with rose gold details, best action bezel, no date, polished sides and buckle, good quality leather, 41mm side is just perfect (6.75 wrist), just right, no negatives, not disappointed at all!!! Absolutely love this watch!!
Thanks for the video!!
Excellent summary 👌 I totally agree with all the points you make about this watch. Thanks for watching. 👍
Thanks for the video. Great watch. I have worn several 41mm cases where some sit great on the wrist and yet others do not at all. The lug-to-lug dimension is critical. Also whether the lugs are curved downwards or straight.
Hey Dave, there probably is more aesthetic charm on the ETA. But function first with me too: good point well made viz in hose mvmt. One thing...although new movements require servicing every five years, this HAS to go back to Tudor whereas the ETA can be done by anyone: that said, keeping the service record in house will maintain value. I love and prefer the 3-6-9 of the 43mms - but am looking forward to when Rolex let Tudor use ceramic (not polished I hope) bezels!
Yes, that is a good point you make regarding the servicing but as you say, the service history will have more value being with Tudor. Thanks for watching 👍
Got mine with the black bezel on a bracelet last week to go with my "summer" Seamaster on rubber. The AD told me that a service was only needed every 1O yrs hopefully she was correct and I'll keep an ear open to see if I can get this confirmed. Loving the watch btw and thanks for the review 👍🏴
I sold my Tudor chrono reverse panda to buy this one, probably mad to do so but even though its cheaper and less functions i just find this black bay burgundy much better looking, simple and feels less bulky than the chronograph.
Yes, you're right - something so special about this. Thanks for watching 👍
I'm thinking about purchasing a Tudor heritage chronograph, I currently own a Ball hydrocarbon racer like yours I'm absolutely besotted with it! It will be interesting to compare the two.
Go for it! I love the look of the Tudor Heritage Chrono - it's beautiful. 👍
Thanks, I am buying this brand new with a distressed leather strap. This is the only video with a strap. Thanks
Look at the gap between the strap and body at 15:16. It's bigger than the Watford Gap.
I love Tudor, but to say it's not a poor mans Rolex is not really true, Tudor was litrally designed for people that could not afford a Rolex but wanted the same style and quality.
It was created for people that did not necessarily want to pay the high price for Rolex but still wanted premium quality, albeit not quite as premium as Rolex. That is not the same as not being able to afford it. There are many people that could easily afford a Rolex but would rather pay a few thousand less for something like a Tudor. In any case, the average price for a Tudor watch is well over £2,000 which in my opinion is really not in a 'poor man's' budget. Thanks for watching 👍
@@wristwatchdave422 I disagree, you could work in Tesco and buy a Tudor, however you would need to work a good job for near a year to be able to afford the unreachable for most Rolex, would love to see you review a Rolex one day ;)
@@Hodlshark I've no doubt that someone working in Tesco could maybe afford a Tudor but I would still not regard that person as poor if they could spare £2k on a luxury item. (unless they were being completey irresponsible 😜). Anyway, I hope to review a Rolex one day soon. 👍
@@wristwatchdave422 2K is not much money even for someone working in Tesco, of course this amount of money would not even get a nice computer now days, Tudor is affordable and not in the high end Luxury range at all, you need to jump to Omega and Rolex to start talking about Luxury/high end
I own this watch on the bracelet. While it's not a bad watch, I don't undstand why people love it so much. Here are my top 5 complaints.
1) The movement is ugly. really, really ugly. very industrial looking. Not a penny spent on polishing any component. Not a problem I guess, since they cover it up.
2) The movement is covered up. What can I say, I like an exhibition back. But in this case, they didn't want to expose that ugly movement.
3) It's as thick or thicker than the average watch with 775x. At least they are chronographs. With no date, this should should be 10 mm thick. not 15.
4) the bracelet is very difficult to remove and requires a special tool, which costs a lot more than it should.
5) The thichness, combined with gap between the watch strap and watch body, make it look somewhat silly on a strap. see 14:32 - 14:34. I bought a Tudor strap separately. I wear it on a strap sometimes, but I think the designers intended it to worn with a bracelet which fills in all that space mentioned earlier. Another review called this watch a "strap monster", meaning it looks great on so many different straps. I could not disagree more.
Overall, I am pleased with the watch. The fit and finish is superb. Have said that, I am thinking of selling mine.
I do understand your points that you make and I know many people feel the same as you but these issues do not bother me at all. I think the overall appearance of the watch is stunning. I like the fact that it is quite thick - it shows off the beautiful curves and flawless polishing - I am not a fan of thin watches anyway.
I also really do not care that the movement is unattractive - the watch does not have an exhibition caseback so I never think about what it looks like. I do wish that they would at least engrave some attractive design on the very plain back though - However Rolex have always had this same plain, boring caseback.
I cannot comment on the bracelet but the leather strap is fantastic in my opinion - and unlike the platform at Clapham station, I really do not mind the gap.
Anyway, these are just my honest personal opinions and I totally respect your views - you are not alone. Thanks very much for watching! 👍
@@wristwatchdave422 and unlike the platform at Clapham station, I really do not mind the gap...LOL.
I think the Red bezel is the best one because it's classic Tudor and doesn't look like anything Rolex makes. Good review.
Yes, that's a good point. Thanks for your feedback 👍
