Are Tacos Sandwiches?

A taco restaurant in Indiana was involved in a multi-year legal battle to remain open. A local zoning ordinance required any restaurant in the area to be made-to-order or subway-sandwich style shop. People were trying to close the taco shop, but a judge disagreed. He said tacos are ‘Mexican-style sandwiches.’ Do you agree?

sandwich is an umbrella term, and these foods can be different types of sandwiches - taco, quesadilla, hot dog etc.
