- Ken Thorne - Superman 3 - Theme [Extended by Gilles Nuytens]
This is an extended version of the main theme of the movie « Superman III » (1983) by Ken Thorne & based upon John Williams original theme. This is the original music, extended by myself from the original soundtrack.

“Superman III” may not have been the best film in the franchise, but it had arguably the best score and the most iconic scene where Superman rises again. It also touched on interesting topics such as the dawn of the computer age and climate control.
The third movie to me is a breath of fresh air:
1. Little to no Lois Lane.
2. A non-super villain antagonist.
3. Superman fighting Superman.
4. A nightmarish robotic woman.
5. Superman getting wasted and flicking peanuts.
6. Richard Pryor being awesome in a half-gallon hat.
7. Annette O’Toole.
8. A video game version of Superman at th e end.
Just awesome.
3:17, For some reason I believe the score from Superman III is the best too. No disrespect to the greatest of all time John Williams who created it. But the Ken Thorne version is GOLD, and I love the rises again theme putting the oil tanker back together too.
I love it man I'm sure the real Superman with Facebook will really enjoy hit themself thank you people we're having this long for everybody to listen to
I used to watch the Reeve Superman movies with my family. RIP to my Uncle Stan and my Aunt Veronica. Thanks 🙏🏾 for the memories and making your nieces and nephews and your children appreciate the movies 🎦 🎥 🍿 and music 🎵 🎼 🎶
My favourite Superman movie
I'd argue the 'Evil Superman' Vs Clark Kent fight / self confrontation scene is probably the best one of the original Reeves movies. It's definitely the best scene of Superman 3 as well.
My favourite Superman movie.
People give it a hard time, but like you, I loved it. I always remember watching it on TV on a Sunday afternoon as a kid.
Such a train wreck though ! By the third installment of the Salkind’s franchise - Donner’s ethos of verisimilitude ( which made the first movie great, and was still prevalent in the second ) was nowhere to be found. IMHO
@@gman5-035 Yea, hiring Lester was a big mistake. Selling the rights to The Canon group was an even bigger one that really did put the final nail in the coffin. Superman 4 is a bad movie. But it at least had some genuine comic book moments...even if they made no sense, lol. Still loved it as a kid though.
@@heeeeeresrossy True, like rebuild Great Wall. Pure nonsense.
3 was alright and 4 was straight up bad, but I can’t genuinely bring myself to actually hate them. They have so many good scenes in them. Lots of stupid ones, but still.
The scene where he cleans up the oil spill will always be so memorable to me, because of how majestic the theme sounded 🥹
I always loved that part too. Or when he jumps right out of that machine and just chokes the life out of his evil half until his entire face is practically purple and makes him disappear, before slowly rising up and slowly ripping his shirt open.
This is a awesome theme I love it. The victory March is awesome as well from this movie
1) Chris Reeve 2) Tom Welling
Ken Thorne's greatest contribution to the theme is the lead up at 1:55
America's Greatest Superhero! ⭐👍🙏🇺🇸❤️🌎🦸
Superman is Christopher reeve the best
Superman 3 is such a mixed bag.
Like it's a bad movie and the theme song that beautiful John Williams theme has been all chopped up.
But Richard Pryor is a comedic genius in every movie that he's in, and this movie is where Christopher Reeve was at his biggest at almost 230 lbs, which made him look like an Alex Ross painting.
It's definitely not a great movie by any means, but not bad either. A decent sequel
STILL THIS IS THE BEST PART I SO LOVE THIS 1:40/200mark is at its best
3:15, This score is AWESOME! John Williams is a genius. Ken Thorn was outstanding with his version and the Superman score is the best superhero score of all time. Its GOLD!!!💯
Best extended version of superman III theme ❤
Leaving the junkyard & Sealing the tanker
0:01 this still gives me chills
Epic!
Awesome! well done, just a great score!
I'll be honest and say I can't tell much difference between the themes.
Thank you Richard Pryor for saving Superman 3!!
Just here for the music
1. reeve 2. cavill
I concur. Routh was good too.
I'd rather put Hoechlin for two.
I Believe All Of The Characters Who Played Superman Are Always Will Be The Best Of Them All For Those Who Played Clark Kent And The Man Of Steel. Thank You And Thank 🙏 I Love To See The New Superman In The 🎥🎥. And @ 0:01 This Is William Jones Signing 📴 See You 🔜 Bye-bye For Now
1. Reeve 2. Welling 3. Routh 4. Cavill
Dont care - keep that man away from horses!
This is my favourite Superman film as it's more nostalgic for me but I'd say the first was superior. However I actually saw Superman 2 before I ever saw the first one.
Great theme mix 👌 shame they cut it on movie start up on most dvds and films played on air 😢
2024❤️❤️❤️❤️
I hope 2024 will be a good year
❤✌🏼

Ken Thorne and The London High School Band…All 50 Members and it sounds like 60 Musicians and nothing like 100 plus Members of The London Symphony Orchestra by John Williams! Another Cheap O Salkind Failure!
