- Ultralight Brew kit. The minimum needed to make two cups of coffee while on a day hike. The stove can heat two lots of 250ml water to 70C which is enough for 2 or 3 in 1 coffee or cup-a-soup.

This design is now on my must do list. Beautiful Bride will appreciate it and surely use this to brew her 3-1. If I get lazy, I may bring along some extra fuel and a few plain black coffee sticks instead of my usual drip system or cowboy coffee in the field. Great little stove setup! I especially like the way the container is used as a windscreen.
I personally can’t enjoy instant coffee packets. I have a Stanley French press thermos combo so I can pour my hot water over coffee grounds and drink right out of it.
I must agree that there's nothing more satisfying than making a decent cup of coffee in the great outdoors. The more involved the better as it allows you to slow down and take in your surroundings. French press makes a pretty good cup of coffee and I should look into upping my game by getting one.

I have a TINY little hiking kettle. It's 15cm acoss and 7.5cm high with a fold down handle. It's about 900mls. The inside has enough space for a little bottle of milk, a tiny container of sugar and a few tea/coffee bags. They sell online for about 4-500 South African Rand but I got mine BRAND NEW at a second-hand shop for R20.
Sounds really useful. Is it the type that can store a gas canister?

I do that as well. Usually after a heatwave when everything is bone dry which increases the risk of starting a fire.

Getting into packaging that has tear strips that won't tear. I used it yo break into one of the noodles flavour pouches.

I’d love to see a template for the integrated potstand/burner stand
Suggestion - with minor adjustments to bits you can store all of this in the Ti mug. Add “hot lips” for the mug and you can drink straight from it (or just blow on it and again drink straight from it). Your windshield then needs to be flexible eg titanium foil.
The key is a mug that is taller than diameter - eg a 375ml mug.
I'll try and post a link to a pdf here in the next few days of a template for my pot stand. Obviously you will need to change the dimensions to suit. It's made from thin aluminium the type used for kick plates on doors. I cut the slots with a junior hacksaw or dremel type tool with a cutting disc. The aluminium can be cut with scissors, it's that soft and less than a mm thick. A sheet from Layland or similar is not that expensive.
As for you suggestions I agree that they are all valid ways of achieving a compact usable setup but I took a different path. One day I will try to make a caldera cone sort of thing to fit this mug.
