I love the original Star Trek series, but one of it's shortfalls was that it rarely gave any of the regulars except Shatner, Nimoy, and Kelley a chance to show what good actors they really were. I always figured they were all much better than they got to show on Star Trek, so I was delighted that Walter Koenig got such a meaty and fun role on B5. He played Bester to the hilt! Glad to find out he loved doing so.

I always got the feeling that Bester enjoyed 'crossing swords' with Garibaldi, Bester's interactions with other characters was because he had to go down to the level of the mundane and it was a chore, but with Garibaldi, it was amusement.
