- Israel has announced that it has launched a renewed military offensive on the Jabaliya camp in the north of Gaza, an area it had 'cleared' of resistance fighters. Are Hamas fighters gaining strength?
Tune in to the latest episode of MEMO’s weekly review show with host Nasim Ahmed and guest Mouin Rabbani. In this edition we delve into CNN's shocking report on the abuse and torture of Palestinians in an Israeli military detention centre, the resurgence of Al-Qassam fighters in northern Gaza, and the growing disagreement between the US and Israel over the offensive in Rafah.
The show also examines the controversy surrounding the UN's revised figures of civilian casualties, Egypt's decision to join the genocide lawsuit against Israel, and the UN General Assembly's vote to back thePalestinian bid for membership. Additionally, we analyse US President Joe Biden's comments on Hamas being motivated by "ancient hatreds" and the implications of the State Department's report on Israel's actions in Gaza. Join us for an insightful and informative discussion on the critical issues from the past week.
Good to hear that there are some Israelis who have not lost their humanity and reported the abuses at the detention camps.
Hamas is nothing more than a scapegoat.
They are more than a scapegoat; they’re the very tip of the spear of the world’s oppressed people
*Mouin Rabbani is a reliable commentator.*
It strikes me that the safest thing you can be in Gaza is a resistance member. You can move and rest freely in tunnels while civilians and aid workers are experiencing typical Israeli behavior

Contrary to popular opinion there’s one relatively safe place in Gaza.
I’ve not seen a single moment of footage of the IOF confronting the resistance in the tunnels. (There was an incident of them gassing their own in a tunnel, probably along with their captors, but that would have been administered from above ground.)
Thank you for this podcast.
I disagree with Rabbani and Ahmed (and almost all commentators) that centuries of European antisemitism led to the Holocaust. What led to the Holocaust was European nationalism based on ethnic identities, especially the phenomenon of biological racism. The Zionists and the Nazis agreed on this point - they just had different superior races in mind.
Thanks value your weekly reports.❤from USA

thoroughly enjoy listening to these discussions, thank you.

Be careful not to assume that there's anything wrong with being Hamas. That's Israel's line: 'Hamas "people" are legitimate targets.' No they are not.
A Muslim spokes person reffered to Gaza as a "small space". (That statement reffered to Palistians having to move from one area in Gaza to other places.)
Egypt has big space. Egypt and Muslims don't appear to really care about the people of Gaza. do they?
Hamas has vowed to continue to attack lsreal.
Because of October 7th and afterwards, lsrali troops will always station troops in Gaza for the safty of Israel.
Perhaps Hamas thought that Gaza would be "free" because of October 7th. Perhaps lran and Hamas thought that they could gain the condemnation of Israel because of October 7th?
