The school district has it's own woefully understaffed and underequipped police department consisting of a chief, four officers, and a detective responsible for three schools and the district in general. They have no armor that can stop a high velocity rifle round and weren't armed for a shootout against such. All they could do was call for backup from a large well equipped force. Unfortunately, that backup dropped the ball...

They should’ve have all schools from different grade levels such as elementary, middle, and high schools have their own alarm systems all over the school/campus building environment like the outside doors!!! Two hours to get those children to the hospital is unacceptable. I support law enforcement however in this case it needs to be known why the police chief ordered the officers not to enter yet. Big debt of gratitude to the border patrol agent that immediately went in with a borrowed weapon and engaged the shooter. This man should get an award!
Sue the cops for neglect and child endangerment. If cops will not protect the children it is a parents right to know the risk and to protect their children. No cop should prevent a parent from being a parent. All a cop should be able to say if you go in there you go in at your own risk as there is a shooter inside. If your child is drowning in a pool it would be neglect if you did not attempt save your child either by jumping in or with a life ring. Maybe if parents saw cops taking action the parents would leave them to do their job. But the cops should all be charged with neglect themselves and in interfering with those willing to serve and protect.

Its called broken heart syndrome, its possible to lost both parents in short time.
A woman told me that her father died at 62 from kidney cancer, then 9 weeks later her mother died at 60 from broken heart.

They should’ve have all schools from different grade levels such as elementary, middle, and high schools have their own alarm systems all over the school/campus building environment like the outside doors!!! Like why can’t all schools have their own alarm systems!!!!!!!! Like an alarm noise where you leave the store and it makes a big sound like they should have all alarm systems all over the country no matter what school and grade level that student is in. Can the president do something about this like why can’t he just have all schools to have all doors of a school building to have alarms!!!!!
But with a semi automatic rifle, I would think that someone could could just shoot the lock !?

This is so sad. I have been thinking about this family all week. After grief, sometimes the heart can balloon upwards which causes a heart attack. Its a very real thing. Its called the grief heart. My goodness...so sorry for these four kids.
LE threw those children to the wolves, standing around for an hour while children inside were being slaughtered. Every single one of those cops should be fired and brought up on charges.

At least the children are slightly older, enough to remember their parents and not be completely helpless in their absence. There are also 4 of them to help each other out, would be much harder if it were an only child.

Don't forget to mention on your news report that Uvalde Police officers were allowed in to retrieve their children,while sobbing and frantic Uvalde families we're denied access into the elementary school.
This whole thing makes me sick to my stomach,, my heart aches for those children, parents the entire community. This is one of the most horrific tragedies. Action needs to be taken against gun violence and the talking needs to cease. Act Now before something like this happens again.
oh no she was found lifeless with another child who also pass.She was holding that child to the last breath they took so the child wouldn't feel scared or alone she is an amazing woman even in the last minute of her life

Two hours to get those children to the hospital is unacceptable. I support law enforcement however in this case it needs to be known why the police chief ordered the officers not to enter yet.
Big debt of gratitude to the border patrol agent that immediately went in with a borrowed weapon and engaged the shooter.
This man should get an award!

Sue the cops for neglect and child endangerment. If cops will not protect the children it is a parents right to know the risk and to protect their children. No cop should prevent a parent from being a parent. All a cop should be able to say if you go in there you go in at your own risk as there is a shooter inside. If your child is drowning in a pool it would be neglect if you did not attempt save your child either by jumping in or with a life ring. Maybe if parents saw cops taking action the parents would leave them to do their job. But the cops should all be charged with neglect themselves and in interfering with those willing to serve and protect.
