Chick Combines Mozart's Piano Sonata in F & Gershwin's "The Man I Love" (2018)

In his 2018 solo piano performance at the Palais des Beaux Arts in Brussels, Chick combined Mozart's Piano Sonata in F and Gershwin's "The Man I Love", as he says that those are two composers who he believes "mix very well" together.

How lucky we all are, how lucky, that we got to live in the same world as this beautiful creator, and at the very least after his passing, he has left behind these treasures. Imagine what it would be like, to get to see a video of this quality of Frederick Chopin, for example, improvising on his music the way we know he must have
Enjoy everybody, and if you play a musical instrument, keep searching and playing, that’s the spirit from which this man has always come from
I’ve been inspired by his music for my entire career, as many other things of changed in my life that is one thing that simply has never changed, I know I’m one of many many thousands of musicians that feel that way

RIP Chick. I had the privilege to briefly work with him in 2018. His style was not to everyone's taste, but that's what set him apart from the "norms" of the non classical genre. He was a social friendly guy with great creative talent, and at least his spirit and recordings will live on. Rest my man, God bless you.
