@@arifzz12 you're right to a certain extent. We know this game is poorly optimized and incredibly CPU heavy on any device, even top PCs with great CPUs and 4090 struggle to run at a steady framerate with good frametimes
This game isn't THAT advanced that it should run this poorly on steam deck. There are games of similar fidelity that run just fine.
@@arifzz12 The game runs poorly and dips constantly on high end hardware. if the steam deck can run cyberpunk 2077 at a stable 30fps then this game has no literally no excuse.

Pretty much, terrible optimisation of any by devs. It doesn't even look anything special, older PC games looking far better run well on the Steam Deck.

On ps5 it’s ran fine. I’m in Vinmoth or whatever it’s called. I get probably 30 fps. Some more. So far nothing unplayable

It's poorly optimized, but you can run it good enough on a mid range PC. But I haven't played since the newest update.
I'm playing on Steam Deck haha Did last night the quest of Mystic Archer. It's flawless smooth? No. But it's running better than my PC, in my PC I'm getting randomly black screen and crashes.
I may just be a fan of Retro games and Graphics but it would be so nice if big name companies made lower Graphics Settings look like PlayStation 1-3 (or even to 4) on low Settings instead of everything looking like it's made of Dust

Update: The performance is improved since 04/25. Not smooth at butter, though, but the improvement is clearly there. I suggest look up for other video.
How about with the new update?
I was skeptical by everyone saying how the game performs. But so far I’m on a 3080 and have solid 60fps across all fronts. Even in the heavy traffic areas it had no issues. Nothing anyone has said I’ve experienced in any way. My only gripe is the steam deck doesn’t handle to well and must be adjusted before you go further.

The fps sticks in 35-45 but it looks gorgeous and plays great.
Finished first play through in 91 hours
The worst part is that Playstation got their frame rate issue fixed first while everyone else still get the uncessary bullshit patch that doesn't fixed the game

Turn off FSR, it will free a lot of the CPU

If Deck can ru CP2077 2.0 at 40 to 60 fps, there SHoud be no problem with DD2. That's why it cannot be game of the year.
I play it through xbplay on my steam deck runs loads better

Exactly, I understand the optimization issue, but when a 4090 owner says it runs at 40FPS, I'm simply confused. My XTX is doing 80-110fps all the time at 4K. Some people are dishing out misinformation on purpose or, like you've said above, what are they doing to their pcs.

You keep throwing around the word "optimization", but if you were able to read you'd see the reason it doesn't run on Steam Deck is because the memory usage exceeds 16gb. The onexfly doesn't have "alot" more power, it just has 32gb of ram and a little more cpu. It runs similarly on the steam deck if you lower the texture budget in the config files, albeit with even more blurry textures.

The stemdeck simply isn't very powerful interms on raw power which is need for a poor optimization. All the orher alternative can handled it better, but the developers did a horrible job at optimization. The stemdeck simply isn't as powerful as all the alternatives. But, hey its cheaper. You wear better performance? Than you gotta pay. Valve or Linux ain't gonna save this poorly optimized game.
True, but the Deck can dish out better FPS than the Ally in some games for some reason. RDR2 runs better than the Ally even with the latter being pushed to 30 watts. Valve's doing some magical wizard shit out here.
But yeah, DD2 is a disgrace. Capcom is becoming a shit stain.

It switched my steam deck to windows cause of other games and it runs far better then this for dragons dogma 2 totally playable like the other hand helds. For those of you that want this game on the go with the steam deck there are CZcams videos that make it super easy to make it windows
Yes, linux is the most overrated software. I own I stemdeck and it's currently Being fixed again agyet getting 3 defective devices and alot of it was do too the software . SteamOS os is trash.
@@2ndAmendmenttime I found a small issue with rocket League gameplay stopping for a split second and elden ring settings I haven't touched yet but so far with dragons dogma, last epoch, and destiny 2 I've had zero issues. I do not regret the switch from steam os to windows. I know last epoch almost killed my deck cause of over heating... Utilizing 100%+ of graphic memory. Lynx is not it lol

this game sucks on all platforms and is one of the only next gen games capped at 30 fps, they really need to optimize games nowadays... the lowest settings need less ram usage

@@jcc4543Like the guy said its due to poor optimization by the game devs there are much more graphically demanding games than DD2 that are playable on the SD so it has nothing to do with it being outdated and just because it ls unplayable now doesn't mean it will continue to be like that at first cyberpunk wasn't playable on steam deck but now because it has been optimization for the SD its playable also the switch oled came out a year before the steam deck even hogwarts legacy took many months after its initial launch to be playable on switch

Why so much hate? Thing was awesome when it dropped. Obviously it's not nearly as powerful as the steam deck which isn't as powerful as the Rog Ally/legion go and those aren't as powerful as a full gaming laptop or gaming rig. Get the one that plays the games you are looking for. That said handhelds are in a great place for improvement!
