Which dock do you use, and have u fixed the problem?
The steam deck OLED is the best purchase related to gaming that I've ever made. I absolutely love it.
what is the best purchase you have bought
Is a Steamdeck like a way of playing Steam Games on a controller?
You seem so say this a lot.
ROG Ally:
@@cookies5367 Steam Deck, prior to that the PSP on launch day when I was 14 or so.
I've had my deck since July 22 and it is still running strong. Easily have put over 1K hours into it, I've played and beaten Dark Souls 1-3, GTA V, Cyberpunk + DLC, Witcher 3, Hades, Hitman 1-3, Jedi Fallen Order, Elden Ring... I've put hours into but haven't beat, Sekiro, Division 2, Remnant 1, RDR2, Grounded, Fallout 4, NFS Heat, Ghostrunner... What a great device! IF there's a demanding game I can always turn to my PS5.
Dang, that's impressive. Feels good to hear someone enjoying their console! : )
That's really impressive. Can I own this without having a PC or consoles? Like is there a requirement before purchasing one? I have none.
@@trakvalno, all you need is the steam deck. You can buy games on there, install and play. Some games might require some tinkering, I’ve never had a gaming PC before and the tinkering is pretty easy to figure out. I highly recommend getting one, I use it everyday.
Easy to figure out by the with a CZcams video or Reddit 😂
talking during unboxing was very solid keep doing that forsure i thought you had a mil subs with the structure
Picking up a deck oled soon and I’m super hyped! Love your videos man, silent unboxings are nice but you’ve got a great voice that’s clear and easy to listen to. Love the aesthetic too! Keep it up :)
Was it worth it? Debating but it will cripple the bank

How much is it
You are doing great, man. Best of luck. Excellent orientation for now.🎉🎉
Thank you for having a video that is just the content, not a bunch of unrelated bullshit or needlessly fast cuts
Great production quality dude!
I'm still loving my LCD Deck!
Can we all appreciate the fact that valve includes a charger and case with your purchase
I’m about to buy this soon great video
I just bought a steam deck oled it should be here tomorrow, I'm so excited
Dude enjoy. I got mine around Christmas and been loving it. I play my ps5 way less now lmao and haven't touched my switch since lol
As someone who's had a Deck for a while, and got into PC gaming years ago. This video is actually great. It gives a lot of really solid information. I would highly recommend that you watch some beginners guide type of videos, and some videos about Decky Loader & emulation on the Deck. There is a lot of good stuff to this device, and all the people raving about it are not exaggerating.
As a PC gamer with a pretty nice rig, half of my gaming is done on my Deck. It's just nice being able to play the exact same games i play on my Desktop PC, with the same saves through cloud in bed or on the couch. I have no interest in getting a console personally, because i value flexibility and freedom to do whatever i want a lot in a system, so the deck being a handheld PC is absolutely phenomenal!@@synysterpain
@synysterpain it's been pretty great only downside is some games not working
for me almost every game i tried worked fine you can also install windows and then everything should but steam os is much better overal @@thegamingdrew3105
i just ordered my 1TB OLED steam deck yesterday can't wait.
I've had my Deck for like a year now, but i'm watching some of these videos just for entertainment. Your unboxing/review has been one of the best i've seen so far. You're very accurate on how to describe the Deck, you're very fair, and you're even mentioning some nices pieces of information that i even struggled with for a while, like the correct way to press the 4 rear buttons.
Same
Very good Review, camerawork is crisp but not over the top with B-rolls and such, to the point, honest, and good tips for accessories. Just keep it up now and you'll grow your channel nicely.
Quality content! I hope your channel will continue to grow
I’m about to buy it soon i can wait
you need more subs. your vids are great quality
I watched this video thinking you have 1million subs or something 💀 you have 198 what a good video man !
same lmao
I thought I was watching a 500k sub channel before I looked at the sub count!! Good job man I subbed!
Great vid. Keep it up! 🍻
Having kids, I don’t see my self playing on the desk anymore because I won’t be able to sit down for 15 sec that some’s calling me. More and more I’m drawn into the Steam Deck because I see too the advantage to play and resume instantly anywhere in the house, free time allowing
Just got mine! What a beast!!!
0:18 thanks for making me feel better about avoiding FOMO
Very nice review man
Next month, I'm so getting me one of these!
how do you have immaculate video quality
Yea I was checking the sub count and was like oh wow, dudes got the quality control under wraps already! Aye good for him.
@@goosefraba7510 i’d like to see a video on how he achieved this tbh
@@39bokiime too
He probably worked and earned his nice toys it’s not rocket science
@@adriansaldana5993 man idc about the equipment, i care about the configuration
Great video! I need to get one as well
Am in a week gonna purchase my first lcd steam deck 😊
I’m loving Death Stranding on my Steam Deck OLED. I’m playing so many games I would never play due to limited time.
Been looking at a Steam deck for a while now and since I found out The Son's of the Forest is playable on Steam deck. It's a must I buy one. N this video really helps cement a future purchase.
Actually fun to watch
Do you have a hub or dock for the deck? Also what video gear do you use?
What scissors are you using? It looks awesome mate
what is that keyboard??? it looks so nice, any link to buy one?
Yeah even after that explanation it stills feels pretty redundant to put a glass protector on top the etched screen. But to each his own. I just made the purchase 2 days ago, waiting for that shipping email! Super stoked! I mainly bought it for indies and emulation.
Should make a video of how you like it so far! I’m still contemplating whether to buy it
I’m anxiously waiting for mine to come in today to film my experience with the unboxing as well. I already have all my accessories 😁, I can’t wait! I too have a switch oled and very much prefer the glossy oled screen cuz the colors are more crisp, so I will definitely put a glossy screen protector on it 😊. I love binge watching unboxings so thank you for sharing! I more so prefer unboxings where people talk about it rather then just play some sore of music in the background 🙂
I'm in the same boat as you. My steam Deck Oled 1tb should be here this Thursday and I have been anxiously waiting for it to arrive. I have been watching so many videos on it, from performance to setting up. Practically torturing myself haha. I have an Oled Switch too which I love but it just can't handle a lot of games anymore.
@@Tk.Wander nice! Mine arrived about 3 days after ordering and it’s huge! I’ve also been watching so many videos setting it up and installing apps n stuff. Haven’t had a chance to play much on it yet but the oled is very much worth it 😊. I hope yours arrives soon!
@@lunaria33games Thank you! I hope you get some time to play it soon. I have a bunch of games I want to test run.
Couldn't resist I got one
Have you tested streaming your games off your pc to your steam deck. Aka steam link?
here to support from the future
you might of convinced me to buy a steam deck
I got one 2 months ago. Gotta say the steam store is mostly shovelware and the ps store has soooo much more choice . My oled is currently on eBay
You count your days with your watch?
have you seen that there’s a program that replicates the ps portal on your steam deck. it would be perfect since you own your single player games on ps5
I've found the best screen protector is a secure wriststrap!
How does ur T1 build benchmark
Good quality u boxing video.
What watch is that you have?
I love your rationale where you went to PC for better graphics and resolution and came full circle in your couch with worse performance than your PS5 😆
The things we gamers tell ourselves lol
Let’s go!
After the initial startup, do you need an internet connection to play games on the Deck?
No, there is an Offline Mode, and it works fine
@@SpartanDeluxe excellent, thank you
You are probably mixing up USB-C with Thunderbolt there with your Dock. The TS4 is a Thunderbolt 4 Dock. While some USB-Ports might be available over the USB-Layer, the Ethernet hardware there might be TB4 which your SteamDeck doesn't speak. That's why it's most likely not working. One other reason might be missing drivers for the ethernet chip but that would definitely need some more hacking on the system side of the Steam Deck.
What keyboard is that?
Can you purchase this without owning a pc or a playstation?
Lol finally got a steam deck. I got mine during Xmas too. Have you ever gotten to link the deck to Bluetooth or the Tesla? lol
It may need a driver for the enthernet i assume? No ideea, just an assumption.
If Steam Deck 2 is released in 2026 and it can play GTA VI very smoothly, then it is a must buy for me.
I want one so bad but then want the rog ally might end up buying both but wish the steam deck had more power but if you compare it to basically a console like experience then that’s what I kinda want where don’t want to be having to do so many tweaks for my games to work like on the ally. Just wish I never sold my pc because then i would have bought the steam deck instanly because could have just streamed my higher demanding games on the steam deck. But after this review might just buy it because I started playing more single player games as well which would be amazing playing them on the go !!!
Why don’t you have 1 million subscribers already? This video was extremely helpful. I just ordered my steam deck oled 1tb today. Thank you so much.
nice video bro
is it worth to upgrade from normal steam deck biggest edition?
Just think of the switch vs switch oled, they play the same games yet the oled one just looks so nice. The old one is still good and it has a perk of having windows drivers. If that’s important to you.
camera's autofocus goes crazy when it sees the deck lol
I’m sub 335 🙌🙌🙌 love the way you do your content
Subscribed❤
What watch face is that?
Do you think this would handle any kinds of emulators? Ps2, ps1, game cube, n64, ?
Bro it can, even switch games
There’s something called emu deck you can use, it’s a simple install and you can import your roms into it and it’ll just work.
@@TheNoviceAnimator_ thank you I am aware
What does the keyboard/video and bundle look like?
Good
i was actually contemplating getting the 1tb or the 512gb one.... in the end the trade off of the matt screen to glossy screen was too much for my taste... plus i can get a decent 2tb 2230 m.2 pcie gen 4 X4 drives for cheap.... so i went that route instead... and used the 512gb as a external type c ssd...
putting on the glossy screen protector does mitigate it but the picture quality reduced by too much for my taste after watching side by side comparisons by other reviewers....
When these devices become modular then I will buy them
So i have just one question. I was thinking of buying Steam deck and was just wondering if it's worth it or not.
Did you ever get one? I’d say hell yeah. For sure get 1tb. I barely got mine 2 days ago and used it up 80%! Lol. I could show you how to get free games and switch games if you get one.
@TheNoviceAnimator_ No. After so consideration I bought lenovo legion GO. So far it's great.
they need a wi-fi this gadget?
So how does it work?
Do I just put my account in the steam deck…and I can use the games I bought whenever and wherever?
Yes sir but remember not all games are supported. You can check if your games would work by looking at the deck verification badge on the games store page. if it says anything other than “unsupported” then it’ll work.
@@TheNoviceAnimator_ not exactly true. some games that say "unsupported" can still be played with no issues using proton
i just got my steam deck oled 500gb.
i cant get through the inital wifi connection on set up. Has anyone had this major issue? It does not connect what so ever to wifi, it says my password is wrong and does not connect. i tried resetting my internet as well.
Change region
Is it 4k 120 hz ?
why would such a tiny screen be 4k? the rtx 4090 is like the only gpu that can do 4k 120 and that definitely aint fitting in a steam deck
i wanna buy it just to get the profile, idc about the deck 😭
Only 300mbs? Bruh that speed is insane...
just bought one lol
Yeah i am your 248 subscriber
holyshit 10 hours of COD GHOST and got 100% achievements rssrs
only problem is price almost equal to bigger consoles
Bigger game library than consoles. That said, deck is not for everyone.
🥶🔥✨omg
can it install xbox gamepass pc?
No it can’t, you need to install windows for that. Which works on the lcd deck but on the oled deck it’s not worth it since there’s no audio and bluetooth drivers yet.
You can also stream it though but personally that’s a awful way to play games unless you have god wifi. I could show you how to get “quacked” games if you wanted lol. Not that hard also I could show you how to get switch games. Just reply to this if you get a deck 👍
@@TheNoviceAnimator_would I be able to play Fortnite on it ? Thinking bout getting me a Oled 1TB version
How much is it
Like 600 bucks
This model is $650 but there’s other models that go as cheap as $400
@@scottcaramel ah thank u
I have a love hate relationship with the steam deck! I got the original steam deck and still wish I got an ally or a legion go. People say the steam deck is simple, but honestly trying to get something to work that isn't verified is a pain in the bum, it's doable but everything just feels clunky and bringing up the keyboard always plays up on my model. Linux limits it more than I thought it would from anticheat and other launchers having huge troubles running correctly off of Linux. Steam deck standby mode is amazing and reminds me of how good my ps vitas sleep mode use to be! Emulation has been super smooth on the steam deck and playing verified games has been amazing! The oled version definitely looks sexy, but if I could choose what to get in the market right now the legion go would get my choice everytime!
Have you tried either the ally or LG? I have a SD OLED and just got an LG. After 24 hours i did returned the LG. I am very familiar with windows but having played the SD, its really way better experience than LG. Now, regarding game compatibility, as you mentioned, there are work around it. It will be less stressful working around rather than having a windows handheld. Unless they will have a Steam OS like windows, it will be very hard to recommend getting a LG or Ally. You will be better off grabing a laptop. Just my opinion.
@@deighty80 I work in tech for a job. I've been able to get most games working on the SD and for me it was a mish. Can't imagine how it would be for the average Joe. The Ally has been simple as. Looking at buying a LG very soon! Pair it with an egpu and you legit have a dockable pc!
@@bigload6 try getting both SD OLED and legion go. You can do a return anyway. It would suck to have any regrets later on. I also had the LCD SD and upgraded to OLED, i would say its worth it.
I see they ship in the box that says whats inside of it smh i had my og steam deck stolen when they released
Titanfall 2 gets 90fps with a little tweaking
1500$ too much for me right now I’ll settle for a switch. 😅
