I mean, technically it's the correct thing to do. Handbrake = vehicle won't move any more, neutral = less strain to clutch. Same principles as if you weren't hip-deep in water, really.

I loved the amphibious cars. And it was so cool Jeremy's one managed to reach France from Dover.
I always smile on the car review with the marines. Even the soldiers seem to have fun with the idea.

If that was in the challenge series i think it is, Jeremy lost the door after only ten yards whereas James' Austin Princess was able to hold in a similar amount of water for *4500* yards. James' result in particular enabled him to end with a monetary score of *20 British Pounds in the black* whereas Jeremy and Richard each lost 1000.

Africa special is by far my favourite. The cars were great, the humour was on point, the pacing was amazing and the writing was spectacular, it's a shame they never managed to get up to this level again
