installing windows 11 XLite on a late 2006 MacBook Pro 17" , MA611LL/A - MacBookPro2,1 - A1212 - 2119 - this all also applies to his little 15" brother Core 2 Duo/Late 2006 - MA610LL - MacBookPro2,2 - A1211 - 2120
I used another machine to create a legacy windows 11 installation on the ssd and moved it inside the mac afterwards
Throttlestop core voltage is fixed at 1.05, multiplier at 14x
Driver Booster found the x1600 driver

I use Firefox with uBlock, which does work and block ads on CZcams again. Then add the CZcams Enhancer extension. In the settins for the youtube enhancer extension it allows you to force 30 fps and h264. Thats what I use on all my mid/late 2000s machines. You do need to turn the built in ad block in CZcams Enhancer off or it will interfere with ublock and not load anything.

I would try this machine with a lightweight Linux distro using some desktop like Xfce for example

force the CZcams to be played with h264 codec, use the h264ify extension.

very interesting, will try as soon as i can put my hands on another one! i have a 2008 to try but i think that one is already good for 1080p
